Here you go Mr. ZM 🙂 sadly it’s not (yet) classic but rather modern era Benelli. Made in Italia anyways. Would love to have 750 or 900 SEI, but those are not easy to find.

Wow. 161 HP. It has more power than my FJR1300 and is smaller and lighter. It must be screaming fast. Gorgeous bike. I will be vacationing on my motorcycle for two weeks very soon.

Yamaha has a new-ish 900 triple that I test drove recently. Lots of torque and it is a size/weight that is probably better for me long term.

Beautiful

Thanks, Italians really know their stuff what comes to fabricating beautiful vehicles.

It really has quite good HP/kg-ratio for naked bike 🙂 I've done some modifications to engine also; removed exhaust flap, intake flap, stock air filter is crap on this bike just like fuel injectors so they are all aftermarket parts now. It has fully programmable ECU and custom map.
Doesn't make much more power though but that amazing amounts of torque now compared to original..with full throttle you have front wheel up under 4000rpm's so it's also kinda tricky to drive if not careful.

You must mean MT-09? That's a really nice bike also! Gotta like the sound of triple cylinder, you don't hear that every day.

Nothing is better than good road trip with your bike!

Agree 105%...as long as they have:

Proper electrical circuits.......😱 ( an Alfa 2.0 GTV went on fire for me!...100% down to careless wiring.

Rust problems being a thing of the past(??) Same GTV - puncture - jack went through the rusted out sills on a 2 year old car!!!!

...all back in the 70s though.

Been 100% Audi since then for serious road day to day cars. Any problems were down to money grabbing garages being crooked.

That’s the other side of the story 😀 I guess you can see the passion over engineering what comes to Italian machines. Motorcycling is more passion than rational way of moving for me, that’s why I don’t like clinical, but bulletproof, Japanese bikes (for example) so much. You can really feel that passion with certain vehicles.

My daily commuter is Japanese, older Subaru Outback..it just never stops moving! Had A4 Quattro before, it was good car also.

Yes MT-09. The newest touring bike in the USA is called a Tracer 900 GT. The frame is something like 50mm longer than the MT-09. The hard cases are similar to the FJR1300. It has cruise control standard and ABS brakes standard.

My FJR1300 does not have cruise control and I would love to have it for long trips.

Your bike sounds insane to drive. It wants to be a unicycle,

I know that you understand what's written 🙂

Otto Grunf is a naturalized German-born inventor. He is a former Luftstreitkräfte mechanic who fought in the First World War, and he defected from the German army after his mechanical incompetence caused the airplane of the Red Baron to crash. He moved to America and changed his last name from Grunt to Grunf to avoid detection, and is mentioned to also serve in Second World War. He serves as the inventor, fabricator and the mechanic of the TNT group. Running gag in the series is his incompetence: he usually designs various Rube Goldberg machines that end up in failure, fails to properly service or change the vehicles or weaponry (driving a 1910s era car that usually explodes while attempting to start it or brandishing an 1880s revolver), or invents things that already exist (he claims to have invented the skateboard, which he named Skate-Grunf). Despite his heroic-like behavior and staunch belief in bravery (as seen by quotes stamped on his T-shirts), he is a very cowardly man, constantly running from danger. He usually dresses in a World War I-era flying ace uniform with goggles. He is very loyal and devoted to Number One and never is on his odds. His job is usually to drive Number One around New York (in other words, push his wheelchair around).

I can't help but see a personal resemblance - with me! 😱

The well known 'Her Majesty's Inspector of Drains', Percy French, summed it up exceedingly well in his great song 'Slattery's Mounted Foot':

"He who turns and runs away
Lives to fight another day"

That's me! 🙂
