The Pass Pub: The High-End Off Topic Thread

House temp dropped to 17C
Perfect temp. When it gets warmer than that I begin to sweat and can no longer see my 'perky' wife in the same way.
the last day of a nasty attack of gout
Allopurinol my friend, Allopurinol.
I am down to 1/2 tablet a day and no attacks for many moons now. I think it was 2012 when I forgot take the pills, then ate and drank like a king for an extended period.

Yeah, I'm an addict as well!
But why are we here in the pub?
I'm a serious Tek scope addict, There are three Tek 485, two of them almost perfect now, third one I know which parts need.
There is a Tek 2225, this was my first scope.
There is a Tek 2467B, I have had some issues with it, I changed trigger hibrid, usual PSU caps issues, and leaked capacitors on A5 board.
I have calibrated it, with my Bradley 192.
It is perfect as is, I like it very much!
I have a Tek 2440 digital scope, if I remember correctly I changed one of its input attenuator and one of the hibrids , regular PSU caps change, and I have calibrated it.
It is a very nice piece.
Last, but not least I have a Tek 7104.
PSU repaired, it seems to be a working one, but I don't have plugins for it. ):

Well, I have a HP1745A, it also have had some problems which repaired, here you can follow:

Very nice HP1745A with little problems. - Page 1

I like its huge 10*10 screen with crystal clear and sharp traces.

There is a Velleman PCS500A PC scope with a PCG10 PC function generator.

one day , when I grow up , will buy AP 1 (DD)

:clown:

:rofl::rofl:

At least I figure ...! But what am I standing on as I play that fish???

😀

That is funny! I posted a picture of an old (pre-war) Morgan 4/4 which when we got it had a bored out engine and the head was copper plated!

(I found a picture by google which shows it today...living in Germany! 🙂)

I have posted the picture before - but here it is again. We put a stage 4 MGA twin cam engine and straight cut ZF gear box in it. It was faster than early e-types, but with thin 17" wheels and tyres was very difficult to drive fast. The cycle mudguards are original - and turned with the wheels.

It was a great fun car and taught me to drive!😎
