Burning Amp Festival raffle is still the best hope of getting “stuff” into the hands of people who will appreciate it. Or at least put it in their storage and continue the dream! But if you’re more than a day’s drive or 2 away it’s too expensive to move the stuff.
I also have a 10*20 filled to the 12’ ceiling. It’s mostly vintage tube gear, tubes, transformers, etc with a small amount of vintage ham radio stuff and test gear. This thread is a little upsetting inasmuch as I just turned 67. I also have an equivalent amount of the same stuff at home. I hate the idea of dumping all this stuff on my kids.Probably a 10x20 if you can fit a car……thats a storage standard size, other is 10x10 but that wouldnt fit a car.
And I just remembered there’s also a 10 * 5 unit and a bunch of vintage speaker systems at a friend’s house.
I’ll be watching to see how this goes. It never occurred to me to sell it all as one lot.
This is an tube audio hoarding sickness! I bought a lot of this stuff in the 70’s and haven’t used most of it.The real sickness is that I discovered this post while looking for more!
It is a sickness based on the thought that having more stuff makes you feel better. Well, it won’t. It makes one drown in self caused chaos. The real sickness is that I discovered this post while looking for more!
It was astonishing to see the foreign storage companies starting here as well .. and having success. Why one would pay for many years to have external storage for stuff that will never be used is beyond reasonable logic. Add all costs and one could have had a very good system for less and no stuff to worry about

Um, my close friend and prolific speaker designer/builder just died. I'm trying my best to get some of his collection of speaker building parts into the hands of other speaker builders. This hardly seems the place to criticize the deceased for enjoying the hobby we all share. It's in poor taste.

Accumulating stuff for future projects is normal for most of us DiYer. With comments such as yours you really sound like a Debbie Downer...😐
I admit I have quite a stash of stuff collected over the years. I have also seen people with multiple storage units of electronic stuff.
I can say I have been able to provide odd things that someone really wanted like some early obscure Apple monitor.
My wife even has praised me for being able to pull off such feats.
In the next 20 years I know I will try to get rid of the things the kids will not want.

I dont really need the 18's that are part of this collection, just to get a Fo of 30 versus the 40Hz I'm "putting up with" now in a couple of H frames. I would buy them if offered for a nice price / actual shipping and thought I'd encourage whomever might be interested in buying this collection and selling it off later. The other 18s, after replacement, would probably end up in my estate - after wall hanging on nails out in the garage for a few years.
NOTE: The Musical Angel 845 is spoken for by someone who can do local pickup. It has been removed from the list.
However John talked about some "Ming Da" amps that are transmitter tubes - I think. I couldn't make sense of it, but he mentioned them on two occasions last month.
Someone will have a look thru and we'll post a full inventory of amps that are there. If anyone else can do local pickup, it might be possable to sell off parts of this rather than the lot. PM me if you want details.

Thanks for the bump! Forum member @pcgabe was able to visit the storage locker recently and have a look and snap some more photos.
Either he or I will post updates here. I'm currently on the road and working long hours, so maybe he can post his updated here.

As mentioned earlier, @pcgab was able to visit the storage unit and take more photos and do a current inventory. There is more to be logged and photographed, like crossover parts, but this will give you a great idea of most of what's there. I'll let @pcgab fill in details.
