Anyhow...I really doubt that the artistic genius will ever be objectified scientifically. No, I'm quite sure 🙂
What's up with this thread? Now that we know that these cables are real good, no matter what they're made with, nobody cares about them anymore.

Trust me, the Mars is a special interconnect. It's excellent in all the typical audiophilish parameters, but there's more to it - it feels uncommonly "beautiful", while sounding very neutral and impartial to this or that specific aspect of sound.
I think it must be in part that music-friendly distortion spectrum produced by the PVC dielectric, as from Audioquest's literature 🙂

I don't know... but I know the Neutrik plugs can be found for at least $1.50 per piece. 😉 Surely, the manufacturing of this (very accurate and complex) braiding isn't so cost-free as you seem to be assuming 🙂
Then again, it was (very much Christmas-time) a free gift to me, which may (or may not) make me somewhat thankful in my comments 🙂
I want to compare this interconnect to the Straightwire Encore II, which as I recall is similar sounding. 🙂 I'll let you know the outcome, when I'll have managed 🙂

Given my experience with braided cables, even made with boutique materials, I think you'd have a hard time making an interconnect that's actually better than the Mars. 🙂
