Just tell him Bricktop's coming over for a "visit".😀

He doesnt live too far away from Bricktop.
If we know for certain who it is we can boycott any future listings of his. This buyer is a real low life for sure. I hope the authorities prosecute him and not settle for an apology. I see no reason why you should not post the persons eBay user name as a statement of fact. From what I can ferret out from an eBay search, is it "i***g" (247) from auction 252009587577?

"Feed em to the pigs Errol"

Today ebay refunded him despite him not sending back the items.
So its down to a last chance appeal to ebay.
Seems grossly unfair he gets the amps and the money !

Small claims court for the fraud. And name him please, indirectly if required.

I have banned him from buying from me.

He seems to be a nasty piece of work !!!!
Just look at the negative feedback he leaves.
Now that EBAY prevents sellers from leaving any negative feedback, it is hard to express any dissatisfaction with a purchaser.
One way to do it it to leave a very bad comment in capitals to ensure any readers know you are not happy.
However, you have to do this at the first opportunity as ebay blocks comment once the appeal process has started.

I am very careful with ebay sales and purchases. In most cases, I think all a seller should be able to comment on is whether or not the buyer paid as agreed. The apparent ebay policy of giving the buyer the advantage is a bit annoying. I have heard of plenty of people who have been scammed by buyers in one way or another - never heard of a buyer sending dangerous materials back, though. That could constitute mail fraud in the US.
That said, this "buyers advantage" thing has sellers on edge - I bought a video card once and the seller was so freaking nutzo about my query/complaint that it didn't work that I just let it go. He claimed that I was trying to defraud him and that it worked before he sold it and he had "marked" the merchandise and would report me to the police if I tried to scam him, etc... Who is to say he wouldn't remove the marks after I sent it back?
Ebay has ruined local second hand prices, everyone thinks they can get the max they have seen the item go for on ebay, without regard for any other factor....
Not having much luck with ebay recently.
Bought an MP3 player.
Works fine so long as the charger isn't plugged into it.
Every 30 seconds it turns off the music and displays a picture of a battery charging !
Useless so sent it back.
Bought a phone and the up/down/left/right button didn't work reliably.
So sent that back.

I think there is a good thing going on with some sellers. This is how I see it working. They have a low cost item and offer it for a firm fixed price and then offer more of them for auction. The firm fixed price sets the bar. Anybody going after the auction units sees the fixed price and figures that they're getting a deal by bidding to a price just below it and are happy when they 'win'. The seller gets a good price, pretty much pegged by the one copy on sale at fixed price. Call my a cynic.

Just got an email from the seller.
He is sending me another and not giving me a refund !
The bug is in the software so the new one will have the same problem.
sucky. Can it be rockboxed? I had a sansa clip that did the same, but the rockbox firmware allows charging whilst playing.
this thread should be re- titled 'Nigels ebay trials'
he will surely give you credit toward another product
they rarely let go of cash /gotta use your tooth and nails

I'm curious, how do you know this?
Also, wouldn't it be cheaper for him to refund $$ rather than pay for shipping again?

The software is seeing the charger is connected and after 30 seconds turns off the music and displays a flashing battery.
If the charger isnt connected the music plays fine.
I cant see how that is a hardware fault.
Not exactly your case, but related and educational. Reads like a movie plot.

Despite my contacting ebay telling them buyer sent back wood with nails in they have refunded him.
I have had to chase up the police again in regards this matter.
I was told the case had been criminalised so he should be charged for it.
I will keep pushing until they do something.
If i let it go it will be another case brushed under the carpet and not added to crime figures.
