I missed the event last year and am looking forward to attending this year, though I'm embarrassed to say that the B20FUs I picked up at BurningAmp 2 years ago are still in storage (the shame).

I've got some great ideas for using the blankets. Vladimir has another 20 so I think the sound will be quite decent this year.
OK, Anyone who wants to volunteer please consider coming to our orientation barbeque Saturday, Sept. 10 at 12:00 noon. It will be at Bill Berndts house in South San Francisco. It isn't required that you attend to be a volunteer, but it would help, and be fun too!

BUT the best way to help is to encourage a friend to attend with you. Then we'll do fine. The rooms are over $2000 which along with the blankets and more expenses is why we have to charge $30.

If you can hang the blankets from the ceiling so that they are spaced off the wall about 1" it doubles the effective damping. or so the acoustics guys tell me.
I don't know if that is possible or not?

We did that back in the day at the Ft Mason firehouse and it worked incredibly well, especially as there was picture molding to hang them from. But one big room wasn't optimal, and the smaller rooms we have now don't have the molding- but no worries, I have a plan using that principle and more!
