Nah, you are thinking of JahOne thing I have learned though, is that when Jam says something has a sound, or affects sound, he's always right.
One thing I have learned though, is that when Jam says something has a sound, or affects sound, he's always right. Then its always up to me to ponder about what the underlying physical mechanism might be.
you failed to include the likely possibility the the underlying mechanism is Jam... He thinks he hears something, and by memetic transfer, perhaps, so do you...
Good for him, no DBT I assume just the usual BS (this one is truely BS).<snip>
To be fair, you should admit that even a corrobating DBT result does not help in these (forum) discussions. If nothing else helps it will simply be ignored as if it never has happened.
What thermal treatment (and what for) is applicable to a certain alum alloy, isn’t applicable to another alum alloy, let alone to copper. So, generalizing and extrapolating isn’t good, details matter, turn to sources that provide solid knowledge.Even the cast aluminum frames of the tape recorders in the factories were subjected to special heat treatment in order to age them and ensure their stability over time and the accuracy of the mechanism and movement of the magnetic film. So, in fact, there is no esoteric, as it seems to a lay person who is not familiar with the technology of manufacturing various devices.

What has been studied tried and applied in industry will be present here (two sections on copper) ASM Handbook Volume 4E: Heat Treating of Nonferrous Alloys - ASM International

Is that an excuse for there not being any? To be fair you should admit that they might. To be fair, you should admit that even a corrobating DBT result does not help in these (forum) discussions. If nothing else helps it will simply be ignored as if it never has happened.

Yes, this is an obvious case of Yoda/young-padwan relationship.

Actually, not. But you and a few others seem to be living in your own little dream worlds where whatever you imagine to be true, you are unable to distinguish from reality.
Anyone who has been around for a while knows that it's a fantasy to think that what you think you are hearing is necessarily there.

Try learning how to listen, its a skill, it takes time and practice. Even ol' soundbloke knew one or two guys that were quite good, just not most. Most won't take the time to learn, like you for example.
You know nothing about me, you just think you do, like you think you know that Jam hears what he thinks he hears. You don't only hear in your brain the input from your ears, no amount of "learning" or trying to relearn what you've already spent a lifetime learning is going to change that, sorry. Did soundbloke say you were deluded?Try learning how to listen, its a skill, it takes time and practice. Even ol' soundbloke knew one or two guys that were quite good, just not most. I think he said everyone was deluded, but if everyone is deluded then there’s no baseline is there?

Actually, I don't know much about you at all, no more than you know about me.
If you want to talk about the truth, I'm happy to forego the debate style of attack and counterattack that you usually seem to prefer, choice is up to you.
How about this: Of all the guys here I am the only one who sorted opamps by order of distortion by ear under dbt. Rather than tell the truth and say I showed I have probably more listening skill than most, you just attack attack attack and pretend like the dbt never happened. I don't know why you do it, but I do believe Jakob is exactly right, even with dbt results they ask for people will still refuse to accept what they don't want to believe.

Huh? If you are referring to what I said, it was in clearly regards to a few others here, not everyone. Just handing them back a bit of their own medicine. Hope they liked it 🙂
No response to the above? To clarify, what you hear is constructed from more than what enters the brain via the aural nerveYou don't only hear in your brain the input from your ears, no amount of "learning" or trying to relearn what you've already spent a lifetime learning is going to change that, sorry.
Are you sure?Rather than tell the truth and say I showed I have probably more listening skill than most, you just attack attack attack and pretend like the dbt never happened.

Same as what you see enters the brain via the optic nerve.....your point is?
Correct, although as I recall you were pretty adamant you weren't, it maybe semantics and the word deluded not the best to choose because of its negative connotations. The takeaway is that we all hear in the same way.I think he said everyone was deluded, but if everyone is deluded then there’s no baseline is there?
