The Black Hole......

One thing I have learned though, is that when Jam says something has a sound, or affects sound, he's always right. Then its always up to me to ponder about what the underlying physical mechanism might be.

you failed to include the likely possibility the the underlying mechanism is Jam... He thinks he hears something, and by memetic transfer, perhaps, so do you...

Even the cast aluminum frames of the tape recorders in the factories were subjected to special heat treatment in order to age them and ensure their stability over time and the accuracy of the mechanism and movement of the magnetic film. So, in fact, there is no esoteric, as it seems to a lay person who is not familiar with the technology of manufacturing various devices.
What thermal treatment (and what for) is applicable to a certain alum alloy, isn’t applicable to another alum alloy, let alone to copper. So, generalizing and extrapolating isn’t good, details matter, turn to sources that provide solid knowledge.

What has been studied tried and applied in industry will be present here (two sections on copper) ASM Handbook Volume 4E: Heat Treating of Nonferrous Alloys - ASM International

Try learning how to listen, its a skill, it takes time and practice. Even ol' soundbloke knew one or two guys that were quite good, just not most. Most won't take the time to learn, like you for example.
You know nothing about me, you just think you do, like you think you know that Jam hears what he thinks he hears. You don't only hear in your brain the input from your ears, no amount of "learning" or trying to relearn what you've already spent a lifetime learning is going to change that, sorry. Did soundbloke say you were deluded?

You know nothing about me, you just think you do...

Actually, I don't know much about you at all, no more than you know about me.

If you want to talk about the truth, I'm happy to forego the debate style of attack and counterattack that you usually seem to prefer, choice is up to you.

How about this: Of all the guys here I am the only one who sorted opamps by order of distortion by ear under dbt. Rather than tell the truth and say I showed I have probably more listening skill than most, you just attack attack attack and pretend like the dbt never happened. I don't know why you do it, but I do believe Jakob is exactly right, even with dbt results they ask for people will still refuse to accept what they don't want to believe.
