Kia from Korea...hummm, and many automobiles in US are Japanese...are they better?

Hey!....carefull, big charlie is creating a trap!...if you say yes....so, things can be better, amplifiers too.

And Japanese make a very good amplifiers, from decades with all US Market dominium.

So, not to fall i my trap, say that you just like that one.

I am old, and already forget...97 miles an hour?

My God!...97 MPH is around 150 KM per hour!

A very good speed, my Brazilian Volkswagen can reach a little bit more...almost the same in normal roads.

But when i have some down hill...it jumped to 180 Kilometers and start to shake...i feel afraid the damn thing start to dismount.

Brazilian cars not too strong...can use 150000 kilometers and them the motor need repair or replacement... and this have high cost 1.5K dolares more or less.....so, it can run around 100 thousand miles and finish!...i have notice some Hiunday and toyota can be used 300.000 miles without repair engine.

Wonderfull, we have Toyota here too...this world model you have too...hummmm Corolla.

People here are changing their new cars, with 2 or 3 years old we considered new here....people are going to 10 years old Corolla, because do not go to repair stations.

But returning...My amplifier is very good...what about yours?

A very interesting circuit, i do have a lot of TIP41/42

They are cheap and good.

Also others transistor i like very much...that phillips line is very good, and price good also.

This amplifier looks very good, and may sound agreable.

But i will not assemble this one as i am developing one unit together with MikeB....our forum friend...and i am already busy.

Your schematic is saved, and someday i will test it, and when done, i will inform you what i feel related your schematic.

But this will delay, as i have some long strip of priorities.

No problem... I don't expect people to build anything I post. We just spoke about circuit types, and so I showed mine.

For outputs, I use Motorola MJL3281 / 1302
Drivers and voltage-gain stage are 2SC2238 / 2sa968
Small-signal are 2sc2240 / 2sa970

Very linear devices, and the outputs take a lot of abuse. :devilr:

My main problem is that I don't have simulation models for the other devices, but when building it DIY, I have found that there are so many other deviations, that the simulation basis isn't too important. I only take it as a guideline, anyway.

Thank you Jannice, i know was not your intention, when published the schematics, to have some guys doing it.

But i am also believe that you may feel good if a lot of guys are interested in your work.

Also to have some ideas, to make a group evaluation...to have someone else feedback.

But, it is al ritht to me..beeing not your intention to call some people to construct it...to share with use you good work, i can understand, as people is different.... and beeing very different, I will construct, and will send you, directly, my feeling related the sound....If too bad, despite i do not believe that seeing schematics...this way...i will be silent...as I hate to give bad news.

So, you are not guilty related nothing that happens...my decision, my own risk.

Of course... it is always fun when people show interest. If someday I hear someone build it - fine. If not, then that's fine also.

Remember, the schematic does NOT show the correct/used transistors any place at all!

I had them for simulation models, but they would not stand full operating voltage +/- 53V of my project.

I'm afraid there will not be any updated schematic.
The schematic is done in the same program as simulation, so I'm stuck with the devices in the program's library (that is: I have not succeeded in adding more devices).
Therefore, the schematic is as close as it gets.

If building, replace transistors as indicated in my earlier post.
Basically, I think you could actually use the BC547/557 transistors if you build a version with suitable supply voltage.

The small-signal transistors I use are: 2sc2240 (NPN) and 2sa970 (PNP). They replace the shown BC547/557 types.

Drivers are 2sc2238 (NPN) and s2a968(A) (PNP).
I use them both as drivers and for the voltage gain stage. This stage idles at 10-12mA, which is more than the small signal types can handle at +/- 50V

Outputs can be any power type (TIP41/42 are fine).
I have tested the boards with BDV64/65 types (they're darlingtons) before installing them with the more expensive Motorolas (not darlingtons) I use.

The more i study the subject, the more i turn convinced that this thopologie is....

This thopologie is really the best.

Why that conclusion:

Because the need of mankind to survive....i am talking about the explendid Japanese people.

Factories, alike Sony, Yamaha and others, are alike a family...you work there...your son will work there...you have hour to start work, have not hour to stop.... your honor is something that is connected to your company...you are more than Yoshida, Nakamura, Suzuki....you are Sony, you are Kenwood......and this is very important, as you cannot send shame to the ones worked there before you started there.... and will be eternal shame to your son and daugther if you fail.

Some years ago they already sucide because some failure, some big shame...when something do not work correctly...when some equipment return damaged, when something do not have the market.

Those Japanese, having to protect their honor, and this is connected to their live, and having to protect father and grandfather, and daugther and son.... do not make jokes with their lifes...their names, their reputation.

This way, those new Yamaha are not bad...also Sony are not and many Japanese brands.

Take a look in United States......only Japanese car...where are the mobil transatlantic V8 they have...gasoline is the problem... American guys can cut V8 in a half and use 4 cilinders...can make small cars too...they could not face the quality...they loose the market inside their own home...why?...because Japanese is too much serious...more serious than i am i ensure you..related you... i cannot say nothing....you decide!

Work for Japanese is the main responsability of a man..... house is for housewife..... children will have good schools and wonderfull dedicated teachers...and will see fathers some minutes a day...when they receive a lot of warm feelings.

If the man that design that amplifier...used in dozen amplifiers, changing only voltage, fail...he will suicide...so...i am sure he is alive and Yamaha is making sales....and US is buying as always.

The schematic, the thopologie is the same as AKSA, same Sony is using...same as STK is using.

So..cannot be bad..it is impossible!

It is possible to be the best sound man could produce..this is possible and probable.

Best can mean many things to different people. The topology
above (Bootstrap-C loading) is more stable because it
naturally rolls off after 200Khz (most amps oscillate at 800k-1Mhz)

I,ve seen MJL21193 (patchwork amp)use his amp stable with NO zoble
into speakers. No fire:hot:

As far as being best ...Nah..
1.no current mirrors= less linearity=more distortion

2. huge Cdom (miller)..1000pf shunted to ground=poor freq. response,
loaded down VAS.

Its seem to be an amp that feeds kids in japan but hurts ears
everywhere else .(cheap department store amp)

DXamps, ASKA,patchwork,self, and others are WAY better
sounding with better design.

Well folks... my toy Dx Amplifiers had 146 guys

that build them and told satisfied... this came from International communitty.

In Brazil i am controling informations not to see my amplifiers beeing sold as kits.... i have a small communitty into Orkut that had 200 guys and i have selected and reduced to 50 fanatics... some of them, very normal in brazil, wanted only to show themselves as "fashion", "pretty", "nice", showing themselves playing guitar...more to have girls than to build amplifiers..they have entered front door and got out back door.... my place is build, not talk.

Those ones have build my amplifiers, not only the Dx Standard, but also HRII and others.

Into Orkut we have developed, together, a class A amplifier to prove them 1 watts sounds loud because they are powerholic...all them have built.

I am happy despite my amplifiers are not the best ones in this world... had good result, i have made many folks happy, a lot of friends accepted to build my designs, they trust on my efforts, they knew the truth nobody in this world, into this modern work of fast internet communication, can be really original...can create something nobody could see before.

All of us, when create our amplifiers, we use differential...so... someone can say you have copied... differential already exists..and with 1 miliampere tail current and 35 volts, resistance HAVE to be almost the same...so.... someone may tell you have copied...but this do not need to be real true...just a matter of coincidence and mathematics reality..same current, same voltage..ahahahha..same resistance...obvious.

Also VAS is traditional, we have to use, mirrored, CCS going together, two stages, complementary, darlington, emitter follower.... well... you gonna use VAS...you have too.

So.... not possible to be original, or hard to be..i am not.....and very few can be.... people use to make up amplifiers, they use fets instead of BGTs, or use zener in place of resistances, they do single ended alike JLH made in the past...but they use Fets into input and say they have not copied?.... had influences, strong influences of course...and nothing wrong about that.... the difference is that guys calculate and have tweaked..and this has value..to tune, to adjust...and this is what i have done.

I suggest positive approaches fellows...do something and offer to our communitty instead to go "evaluating" other folks jobs, writting "i agree" or "i disagree".... this may be interesting to your "self"..but contributes nothing to DIY... this is some kind of "I think"..and this is not science...do not helps.

Produce your schematic..build it, test it, develop, upgrade, update, try to put new things there, try to make it modern, good, reliable...offer to DIY folks to build, help them to build..do something positive and your life will be plenty of joy alike mine.

Into my Orkut some folks enters "when was opened to whole world" to say..... "Do not like the amplifier"...can you believe that?... there are so many idiots in my country that may overdrive any kind of counter.... sadly is reality...people have not listened, have not build, have not tried...moved by bad mood, envy and terrible dirty feeling entered Orkut to say that?... alike children..have not tasted and dislike even this way..... there i can open my big dirty mouth, and believe snakes can go out from my mouth too (panzertoo means that..i can smash idiots too) and they had a happy ticket to hell... can you believe..what the advantage they had to themselves?...or to mankind?...or to Orkut... and those ones use to be bad into this forum...what is the advantage to them?

Do not like my amplifiers?... do not build them..others already made and i am already satisfied.

Also i know they are not perfect...i am still searching that perfection..ahahaha... does not exist... the whole Universe is a mess.

By the way... i have good smell into my Orkut... flowers around..there are 16 girls there..... all girls electronic addicted flowers...observe our 70 thousand people forum..how many girls we have here?... i am lucky...sorry folks...very luck with girls.
