I took out Abu Dhabi, it's not in Europe and the lyrics don't mention a European city either.

You were wrong twice.

1st time: Split is a city in Croatia (and Croatia is definitely in Europe), then that entry that you deleted is truly valid.

2nd time: in this thread the theme'owner matters.

So it is at least unfair to trespass on the theme's owner property without being authorized (please note the Italic style).

As had already been well said by the excellent Charles:
It is normally the person who came up with the theme who decides if a contribution is a stretch too far and not up to contributors to police a list.

Brought back to the right path.

Being the thread owner I'd say Split Enz is not only a valid, but very good entry and should stay (although it seems it wasn't intended)

The only one I disagree with is Waterloo, which I've pointed out, but Allen B has not been back, and I'm not that bothered to make a fuss if he doesn't change it.

Hardly a city in Europe. Just a small town in Belgium.
I just realized that you had already made a point about it.

Well, you are the owner of the theme and therefore you will decide, but if I can express my dispassionate opinion that entry should not be considered not appropriate under any circumstances.

Don't we want to start counting the number of inhabitants of a city/town/village now? 🙄

Edit to add the following link from which it is clear that: "Common population definitions for an urban area (city or town) range between 1,500 and 50,000 people".
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City

Waterloo "in 2011 had a population of 29,706".

So finally we all are saved, hopefully! 😉

Edit to add: According to this we know that: "Common population definitions for an urban area (city or town) range between 1,500 and 50,000 people, with most U.S. states using a minimum between 1,500 and 5,000 inhabitants".

Saint-Tropez population 4.103

Then it should be fine.
Anyway the owner of the theme can decide differently if he wants, and I certainly won't be offended. 😉

However, I take this opportunity to reiterate the concept that @AllenB expressed a short while ago, namely that of being as precise as possible in defining a new theme, otherwise it seems obvious that the less precise the theme is, the more the number of complaints can increase.

Hoping to be able to run the show while continuing to have fun. 🙂
