I listened to her, and she did a good job with it. I just cannot stand the tune. It's like anything by James Taylor or Carole King. They just rub me raw. Some people cannot stand the sound of fingernails on a blackboard. That doesn't bother me. "Basketball Jones", JT or CK will drive me up the wall. Personal physiology, I guess.

How about we broaden it to songs you can't stand that get stuck in your head.
I've had one going round for two days after inadvertently hearing it on the radio.


Or even songs you love that your significant other can't stand.


Seeing the thread's not moving, I decided to unilaterally adopt my first suggestion.

I hitched a lift from Portsmouth to Derby with an acquaintance. He liked Tamla Motown, which I can take in small doses. Even enjoy Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye albums. But after 3 hours of it I was yearning for something calmer like Classic FM. But buttoned my lip and prayed we would arrive soon. 😀

I've actually just thought of one on the original theme.
I'm a carer for a young man with learning difficulties (more like a child really) and he likes to play the same thing over and over.
When I drive him anywhere, he plays a song from The Lion King about meerkats digging tunnels, (not really sure of the title or who sings it).
As soon as it finishes on the CD, he hits the back button and plays it again.
This goes on and on until we get to wherever we're going.

I'm dreading ever getting stuck in a really bad traffic jam
