TEMCo motor run caps out of stock. Other options?

Building another SSE! Went to get another Temco Motor Run Cap, but they appear to be out of stock everywhere. Would this one work as an alternative? https://a.co/d/0S0hZmo

Is there a better option out there? Something perhaps better sounding (if this component affects sound) or better looking?

I don't know your application's requirements so 370vac might not be enough ?

Just use the 80uF section & leave the 5uf one disconnected.
It's the same size as the 100uF one & the difference in capacitance is not going to be meaningful at all.

That DAYTON brand seems to be nearly identical in size to the original TEMCo.

That Kemet cap from Mouser was what I was originally going to get when I saw that the TEMCo capacitor was sold out, but after looking at the data sheet, I realized that it’s a stud mount, and has an odd threaded top, so just wouldn’t look right on my amp.

Also, is there any reason why I shouldn't paint the motor run cap? As long as there's exposed metal for the bracket to hold it to ground, the exposed top section can be painted, yes? Presumably a heat-resistant enamel of some kind?

I see no reason why you couldn't, as long as you have the exterior metal to metal connection somewhere, just in case.

Any of the caps mentioned here will work electrically. I got some big caps several years ago on Ebay and they do have an ugly bolt thread mounting stud sticking out of the end opposite the terminals. Attempting to cut it off did not go well. The cap passes very little AC current in amplifier use, so it generates virtually no heat on its own. The relatively shiny can reflects much of the radiant IR heat from the tubes, so there is usually no need to paint it unless you want to. The can should be grounded as some residual charge can build up on the can if left floating. I often use these across the output of my old Fluke bench supply to improve its ability to put up with my abuse. An ungrounded can will give you a noticeable shock even if the bench has been turned off for a day or so.

Thanks George. I ended up going with the Dayton can, as it seems identical to the TEMCo, even in temperature resistance. I may try giving it a coat of black gloss enamel (save for a section of exterior metal in order to ground it), depending on how it looks in the forthcoming chassis.

A Titan Pro will last about 6 months in a A/C unit. JUNK!
