also a "Bass guitar" type woofer, how well does that model out in this sort of alignment? I can adjust box-size up or down depending and was actually considering trying a double reflex, as that seemed to have some nice benefits without too much downside.

Well thanks for the good info, it's really helped inform my decision process on drivers and pursuing the project. I will be tackling the build here over the next couple of months.
