TDA7498 vs TDA 8920B KIT, need to make a decision now !

Hi !
Need your help in selecting an easy to assemble, affordable class D amp.
I already have a Yamaha AS500, LM3886 gainclone amps and would like to get a taste of a good class D sound !

Source: Windows 10 PC (Xonar DX)
Speakers: Magnat Monitor Supreme 3 way floor standers (5.6 ohm measured resistance), difficult to drive ?
Music Genre: Modern Rock at medium volume
Music signature needed: Bright, up front presentation
From where I can shop: ebay.in (also ebay.com with their global easy buy black friday offer)


Choices I have:

1. TDA 8920B

I have found an another one, its based on LME49810.

The first two are Class D but at first look the LME49810 is a class A/B.

So the 8920 is a good amp but the TDA89XX series have high distortion at around 6KHz. Not ideal for hi go especially piano music. However the +/- power rails make using an opamp pre amp easy.

The TDA7498 is using a single supply and to me that is an issue but is you are driving from a PC that is OK. It is probably better sounding and more powerful than the 8920.

SO, I'm ruling out the TDA 8920B. (Its seller said me the same thing just now, its a bit noisy for hifi applications)

Then, its a fight between the LME49810 vs TDA7498 !!
And according to you, in terms of SQ, LME49810 is better ?

I could not say. The 7490 sounds good to me but I have never heard the LNE. I suspect the LNE is not Class D though.
