Then you probably don't have a ground loop. The noise is rather a consequence of two things.
One is the shared ground path from the power supply to the amplifier. Across the parasitic resistance of that path the power return current will imprint the noise on the signal return current from where it is amplified.
The second is insufficient power supply rejection of a chipamp that was designed to be used in a car radio from a relatively clean DC source.

A separate power supply seems to be the most promising solution for that particular amplifier.
 
Yes, I do believe I'm done with this chip. Sounds good enough but needs a separate power supply.
I'm going to try a TDA7375 next. It has a separate signal ground and also is in the multiwatt-15 package which I have heatsinks for.
I'll start a new thread for the TDA7375 once I have a board layed out.
