Is the motor of the TD-125 mk II similar to the TD-160?😕

Hi!

125 MkII have 3 wire electronicaly controled DC Motor.

160 have 4 wire AC motor.

Are you sure? I thought the 126 mk3 used a DC motor but the 125 was AC.

diyman asked for 125 MkII not for 126MkII.

I saw in Service Manuals for both Thorens!

A link will be very enlightening. Is it possible what looks to me like an AC oscillator is in fact a dc drive? 🙂

The Mk-II uses a 16-pole syncronous AC motor ddriven from a small power oscillator.
I have one sitting around waiting for a rebuild....
The electronics for the Mk-I is essentially the same, except for the "more modern" parts ;-)
