Hi All,
This is a schematic for you to critique it. As you can see I don't have a b+ or bias point for the output tube yet nor do I have the plate load set yet as this info will be found by experimentation do to the none audio use of this tube.

Then why design a driver for it? First things first, you have to know what the drive requirements are, then you can rationally work backward to the input.
edit: If this is an Eimac 6C21, you'll need a PILE of power and swing to drive it. A 6SN7 won't even tickle that puppy.

Hi SY,
The eimac 450tl and a 6c21 are diffrent as opposed to normal though a 6c21 has a mu of 30 rather then 18.

Yes I have. The only diffrence is I'm using machelett tubes not Eimac. Also I'm going to be running it in class a1 and the reason I haven't done the work yet is it's too dam cold in my garage here LOL. But thats what I get for living in New England.
So excatly what suggesions do you have SY do you think I'm going about this all wrong?

Just backward. I'd start by putting the output tube on the bench and getting some of the basic parameters for the A1 service you're contemplating.
Ya I know what you mean and I will be doing it justwanting for a warm day to do it. Also I'm wanting on the plate and grid heat sink caps.
