Do you mean the TDA7498 by ST ?
It may depend on the components values on the filter. I run one into 4 ohms at 24V supply without problems.

Get the datasheet and check the 35V is OK for the chip, it will have overheat protection anyway so I doubt you'll damage it.

Yeah I meant tda7498. Would tda7498e give better power at 4ohm as it seems to be able handle double current.

Replaced with new board, its seems to have much less hiss and no pop sound when turned on. First I was thinkin it wasnt connected properly
