With the rectifiers out of circuit I have about 6v on pin2 of u1000. If I jump c118 on ps card I have 13.6v on pin 2 of u1000.
Without the C118 jumper... Did you find that lifting pin 6 of each of the driver ICs (one at a time) showed that only one was causing the high current draw from U1000?
Lifting pin6 on u2000 had no change. When I lifted pin 6 on u2002 voltage on u1000 pin2 stayed at 13.6v.
It appears that either the IC is defective (or more likely) something it's driving. Check all components from the IC to the outputs.
Just to be clear do the lm5110 u2002 and u2000 control the class d drivers or the gate drive network to the output fets?
I don't understand the question. There are about 10 components between the 5110 driver ICs and the output FETs.
Just wondering a flow chart. Example. Lm5110 > inductors > transistors> gate on output fet? Or do the class d drivers and bd card play a factor in the flow to the gate on output fets?
