An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Dear friends,

Starting enclosure buliding...

Yes, stiffenings😉

Finished:

Sorry, no Pictures with the gorgeous paintwork from a professionell car painter in the same red, like the magnets.
The Speaker mounting is really as shown, magnet side top.
Wish you a good night, in germaniy is it 10 pm.

Focal: stunning work.
Thank you!🙂
I will post more pics next week...

Tuba HT with the Dayton RSS390HF-4 driver. I could only afford a 300W (~200 actual) bash plate amp at the time. It's probably underpowered...but it has no trouble quaking the room.

looks like it fires down into the mouth of horn - mounting access via the panel on which BASH amp is mounted?
frankly, I'd have done that part differently - just a personal thing, but I generally like to run outboard amps on subs

The woofer fires down into the throat section, it's not tapped. I mounted the amp on the panel for convenience. I have a second panel with terminals so I can use a better amp externally if I wanted to later. The plate amp is well sealed and doesn't cause any problems.

@Dubwoofer: Thats correct size!
Dubwoofer, which width did you build?
I built it 24" wide... For the room it was going in I didn't need to go any wider.
@focal: The performance is very, very good. With the 200W amp it easily matched the output of my 500W eDesigns A5-350. It's not as musical as a lot of direct radiator subs I've heard but that's not a big issue for HT use. I get in-room response down to about 16Hz.

That's strange to hear when the website shows the THT being responsive all the way out to 200hz.

It didn't seem as articulate or "fast" as the A5-350, but that could be a limitation of the plate amp.
