To answer your questions I,ve built both versions of the leach amp using The 12 transistor version is the same board but with a lot of changes done to use my TO-3 trannies. As to sound quality the leach is an amplifer that will take out most commerical amps around. Take out means No contest. Regards Evette

symef turned my tower speaker(yamaha) sounds like a big speaker.voice of the artist sounds big and the bass is very good even at low volume.I really like the mids and lows of this amp. thats why its sounds very natural to me.

thank you so much for this amplifier.I am very satisfied with this amp.it is really worth of my money,time and energy.Now my worries are over the amp. is working and sound is excellent.

:yikes: :bullseye: :nownow: I dont think this is a good idea, youre going to get DX :cuss: The Secret formula amp vs The best amplifier in the world. :rofl:

On a more serious note, every single person has different preferences, ones might like a certain amp others the other. Then there is also the differences in the rest of the components like speakers so a direct comparison is not really valid if you dont compare the different amps in your own system. Seems you have to build one if youre curious enough......

Fredlock your opinion counts, everybodies personal opinion counts. The goal is to find out, has the formula discovered the secret of pleasing everyone.
How has the formula done this ? Well it is possible it reproduces music in the most natural way capturing the image painted by the artist, reaching out to the very soul.

As you can see the amplifier has evoked an almost erotic, rejuvenating, refreshing response from the male subjects. I am very much looking forward to feedback from female subjects, what we are having here maybe a scientific breakthrough.

What will the formula awaken in you ? Please join us.

Thank you for the advice, Mr. Harrison.
In fact, I enjoy producing my own DIY boards. So, I am looking for a more concise, smaller version, if available, of a single-sided layout for the SYMEF amp.
If not, I will design it by myself, as soon as I find the time...

I cannot afford it though.

I have however contacted the seller of that one pair of 160VA 2x28.5V auction about shipping to sweden for two and four transformers to see if its a viable source for a few of my other amp projects.

For my symef i may use a 500VA toroid that gives 2x25V, 2x10V and 2x13V, using the 2x25V windings in series with the 2x13V windings with the two 10V windings in antiparallel for 2x28V.

I custom wound this one so it will be 500VA capable no matter how i hook up the windings.

Ladies and gentlemen, Lets have the data. Data helps us better understand something by visualizing it in one way or another. We discover non trivial as well as trivial results. In the quest for a large sample population, the population size was set to 30,000 to cater for all ages, genders etc. Each time one of you posts data we get closer to that target.

What are we trying to establish here? Is it possible to create an amplifier that pleases all parties all the time, using a formula ?

Much appreciation is given to those who have done so already.:grouphug:
