you are confirming that it is unlikely to be a UK wide problem. That does not leave much else, than a ban due to Forum comment! No problem as far as I can see ; I get as far as paying. Is that where the message occurs?
My Ebay Buyer feedback from Sellers is exemplary.
I have never sold anything, so I don't have any Seller feedback.
I suspect they have blocked my username as a result of comments on this Forum, or they are blocking UK based buyers. Our trading regulations are quite strict in the way buyers are protected and maybe the Seller does not like that.
Bonsai,
when this is sorted, could you ask the Mods to remove these posts?
Sure. I have another response from Stanton. How do I forward it to you?
I don't think its coming from Stanton's side - there something going on in ebay that we will have to try to sort out.
not R27? - 28 and 29
I measured and checked the color codes
R36&37 are both 150 ohms
R28&29 are both 115 ohms
ok - that is correct.
the Forum's Email is down.Sure. I have another response from Stanton. How do I forward it to you?

I will clear out a few PMs to leave some space for you.
I just hope I don't get inundated with new private requests for individual lessons.
AndrewT, I used the shopping cart to check the sequence here. As soon as I add the item to the cart, Ebay posts this warning on Jim's audio order page:
I have a glowing rating from Jims Audio as a prompt payer too but as I use a prepaid wireless broadband service, my IP is not fixed. When I check, it's seldom the same over the 6 year period I've used it. I even had a problem when ostripper blocked me from accessing his old site because of the IP number group that was detected by software, either at the server, modem or PC.
Whilst screening may have been necessary to block abuse of the Ebay system, this may be just one consequence. I suspect that Stanton Tin is not aware of how this problem could have arisen but it sure is frustrating for genuine buyers 🙁
The grammar used in the message may be "Jim's" but the message is part of an automated screening process set up with Ebay to block groups or types of IP rather than individuals from ordering. I assume the order is blocked at this point, before Jim's audio is aware of the request.! This seller won't sell to buyers who doesn't meet their requirements.

Success.
and as a result I have ordered the PCBs.your ebayID is no more being blocked.
my money refunded.
buy it now blocked again.
Seems Jim's does not like me as a customer.
This is not an eBay issue. Jim's is in control of this blocking/unblocking.

Andrew,
As someone who has done many sales on Ebay, I hate it but it does have many buyers I can tell you that generally the buyers are king on that site and not sellers. Why don't you use the message function on the site there and send a message about your problems with purchasing the boards directly to Jim's? I bet they can do a transaction outside of using Ebay, most sellers sell outside of Ebay, that is not normally the only channel unless they are small individual sellers. Who cares if you've made some comment on a website, do you think they are looking for that, they just typically want to sell their wares. Otherwise make a new ID on Ebay with another computer and make yourself unknown if you really believe they don't like you and know who you are! My kids would have multiple user ID's and Email addresses, you don't seem to be very creative here if you really want those boards, or have a neighbor purchase them for you. this isn't rocket science or even diy audio to purchase an empty board from Ebay.

Thanks for your advice.
It is now clear that the issue is in the control of Jim's Audio.
It appears they have used copyrighted logo and similar on some of their product in the past. It appears they did not appreciate my comment on unauthorised use of IP.
They have confirmed they blocked me in 2011, but because I did buy anything I did not know this blocking had been in place for around 4years.
Now that Jim's audio have looked back and found what they did back then, they have decided I am still an unfriendly customer and have blocked me again after I bought this item and then they refunded and effectively stopped the purchase.
This seems an odd way for one of our Members to behave, but what do I know.

Bonsai.
This is now at an end.
Could you, or would you want to, have all this off topic posting removed?

AndrewT - OK.
Hello mods, can you kindly remove all the posts relating to buying PCB's from Jim's Audio so we can keep this thread clean.
Thank you

Andrew,
Why not just have some boards made yourself? As long as Bonsai would allow it you could use one of the board houses that do short runs.

R36&37 are both 150 ohms
R28&29 are both 115 ohms
Just to note, if it means anything: R6 was 350 ohms when the current shot up and blew the fuses.
There is something completely wrong with this Joel. The adjustmrnt should be smooth and the Iq stable. Somewhere on this thread is a plot of Iq vs time done by a builder - it's very stable.
If you cannot get these going, you can mail them to me and I will take a look. I will only be able to do this in November though because all my stuff is in a ship until end October.
Really sorry you are having this issue.
