wow, I think switch works
position 1 and 2, all curcuits active
position 3, tube bypass, direct to tone curcuit with tube output muted
tone curcuit can be bypassed fast easy in all positions, having its own tone defeat switch
pole 11 does LED duty
and pole 5 is still free
well, might have nice to switch output
could be a tube direct out option
but havent figured that out yet

hey, pole 5 on output might actually do that

yep, not 100% sure yet, but this might work
it should give 3 switch options, one with tube direct out, one with curcuits active, and one with tube bypass
shoot, small error on tube direct out
though, tone output is cut, its input is still connected tube out
not sure thats good

looks like I should let that 4P3T switch take care of signal in and out only, and not do the tube bypass
the added bonus is still tube out direct option, which actually wasnt planned
tube bypass will still possible with seperate switch, no problem

yuoiee 😀 looks like it is possible
I think it works

aqhh, nope, but very close 😀 missed the connection from tube out to tone curcuit 😱 but its there, somewhere
Good stuff! I will take your word for it that it is working..I haven't checked it. Are the circuit boards finished up?

no, need parts
desided a while back I would want mains power outlet from backpanel, using PowerCon's....and they were on back order
now they have them, and its time to order, but Im busy now 😀
but a friend delivered my 'smoked' poly front plate today 😎
Im running out of 'excuses' now 🙂

thanx, almost sure this one will work
need to check it later, but it looks right 🙂
now I can order parts 😀

will try a different approach
decided to dump the tube direct out
instead I will try to incorporate the tone bypass into the same signal switch
but could present the same problem

pretty certain this simpler switching layout will work ok
its now only tube bypass, thats all
true bypass, cutting both input and output, ofcourse
the 'reward' of making it simpler would be more switch options left to do a bigger LEDs lightshow 😀 might be fun 🙄

actually, for this one, a simpler ON/OFF/ON switch might be even better, leaving OFF position for muting
but there is still one option I will look at
with a second output plug on back panel, it might be very simple to do a 'direct out' from input buffer
or a more advanced version of this could be used for effects loop
but that option might still need a secondary effect loop switch on back panel

no, no, no
I will not have effects option
connect other 'strange' curcuits, and this whole project would become more or less pointless
would rather 'waste time'on adding that exstra tube direct out switch I previously gave up on
a 'fast switch' for tuner have been considered
but I reckon most tuners are switched on by the instrument jack/plug connection
means it would be permanently 'on', even at preamp power off
would make battery operation completely pointless
and a tuner especially is the only device I would ever use on battery supply

hmm, about the tuner
mighty actually be very practical to have a paralel output, just for tuning
wont even need a switch or anything
just a second plug in paralel with instrument high-z input
makes sense
instrument jack wouldnt have to be pulled
just plug in the tuner to the second plug
tuning while playing would be easy
in light of that, maybe think twice about where to place the muting cut
both audible and silent tuning should be possible

ok, back to .... well
with the added input switch, I will once again try to look at handling each channel seperately
meaning it will be possible to connect different effects to each channel seperately
and each channel will have its own bypass option
muting is a multiple hybrid solution
it either 'kills' both channels
or its optional signal out
for a tuner, or...
well, dont expect too much 😀
