Re: Photo's of the Tripath PCB
Looks good to me, I'll have two! let me know the costs shipping to Holland
Where are you from Arjen?
ArjenShenzhen said:Okay kind of overwelmed by the response, ofcource they wil lhave to be shipped, i thing a bubble wrap should be OK, but will look in to that. ( God my GF is gonna be happy with making enveloppes haha )
euh, back to the topic, ive made photo's of a used PCB, stripped from the IC, The IC has been remarked, and i could only find out that it is the TA2024 by decapsulating it ( luckely, i work for a IC inspection company! ) aldoh on most units, i can still vaguely see the tripath logo.
the photos i made are of the PCB only, please have a look.
i took off the shrink wrap from the input capacitor, so you can see its a MKP, i measured it, ESR of 0.3 ohms, thats fair the little cap on top is really bad with a ESR of 7 ohms, i suggest replacement,
the two little caps in the middle are the rail caps, ESR is 0.2 ohms,
Good caps but way to small all the other on board SMD components are of normal quality, i could not find any major things there.
Let me know what you think about it
Greetings,
Arjen Helder

They look pretty good, Arjen...
I'll take three...
Packing them in bubble pack should be okay.
Now all we have to do is figure out how to pay you..Paypal perhaps?

not bad
That looks like a tidy little board, you need to get some costs sorted out for the amount of interest you are getting😀

Wow, I didn't know the website had a shop. All I could always see was this mail tracking text field, whatever it is for. 😛luka said:Hi

Thanks for the link. 😉
Oh, and by the way they seem to have raised the price on your ebay link, because I paid the price they have listed on their website.
Hi
I got replay from them saying:
"Dear Sir,
Thanks a lot for your letter.
On the ebay site, the shipping cost of some items was added to the price.
We do not provide free shipping on our own web shop.
You could add some items to cart to see how much the shipping cost is.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
Best wishes.
Sure Electronics"
That explains it all

Tripath PCB's
Hoka, well Amsterdam Holland actually so we can discuss things in Dutch if you prefer.
ill have to check about the shipping costs its in everyones interest to we keep them low,
also if i have to ship to 50 people at the end i might add a minor handling fee, if not just to take my girl for dinner, ( im sure she will be helping me with that)
And that costs little in China fortunately!
im not sure how much a bubble envelope would cost, ill let everyone know soon
have a Nice weekend everyone!

Tripath IC decap and postal costs
Hi Guy's,
Ive been doing two thingsthis weekend, ive checked the avialability of the PCB's, and i got 100 PCS! so i stocked some thinking selling them will be no problem, and im working on Granite small 4" dualconcentric ( like tannoy )" desk top" speakers so i can use them anyway.
i Checked shipping cost, in a small cardboard box i pay 28 RMB for 100 Grams total weight plus 18 RMB per additional 100 Grams.
in Euro's, thats about 1-10 so if you want 2 PCb's count on about 4.50 euros shipping costs. the boards weigh 50 grams each plus the weight of the box / enveloppe, but there is very little difference between them, so for 50 eurocents more you have a small box!
The handling fee i put at 2o RMB per package, that's for my girl for running to the post office, bubble wrap in the packaging, the boxes used for shipping, etc, all that stuff and im looking in to opening a paypall account for eazy and cheap money transfer.
Also, i have decapsulated one IC to show you guy's that they are infact the original Tripath this you can see on the photo below..
Any Questions, just ask me mail me or add me to MSN

Moderator, im not trying to run a webshow here, as you can see by the price im asking. But if you find these posts to commercial, please let me know.

Sounds good, Arjen!
The way I see it, you are performng a fine service for the people here, who asked YOU to be part of a great deal that you found.
These cost less then half what other similar Tripath boards cost, and we all can have a great deal of fun and enjoyment helping each other modify them....and when we're done we'll all have great sounding amplifiers for short money.
This is what the hobby is all about.
To help you sell them, I'll up my order to four. If you can figure out what the cost would be shipped to Los Angeles, CA USA, I'll be glad to send you payment via paypal.
You can message me here. No rush.

I would be interested in 4 too.
Few additional questions:
what size is PCB ?
do you test it, how it sound, DC offset ?
are schematic available to more easy modification ?
Thanks, Zigis.

Looking at the pin spacing it appears to be approx. 55 x 90 mm (2 1/4 x 3 3/4 " approx.)
Depth....?

PCB size
Hi there Zigis, carpenters eye? hehe
Size is 5.3 by 9 CM at 1.6 CM height
Ive used this PCB for now say 6 months and am very happy with it. sounds cristal clear i havent added much to it either, 2X 470 uF caps replaced the 220 uF, not spectacular, but allright its for in the office hehe use a 3 A 12 volts switching powersupply that dos the job at 30 Khz so ive got no noise and i bought a nice gold color housing here for about 5 euros powersupply costs also about 6 euro and i found very nicely made volume knobs for 1,5 eur per one, laced out of aluminium and then sandblasted.
Greetings, from China

another finished project
This is the one i use for my laptop at my home
also a small switching power supply 2 A 12 volts 110 ~ 220 volts input
The PCB i put online, a alps blue potmeter, ( about 60 RMb here ) i put a big 22000 uF cap over the power input
and selector switch for 3 inputs.
this one my GF calls the " zhou bidze " Pigs Nose....
i must admit, there is some resemblance haha
