Please be careful what you include between quotation marks. If you run Tall Shadow's quotes together, plus your answer to those quotes, then you get a situation where it appears to the reader that Tall Shadow is saying things when in fact some words were written by yourself in answer to him.
I know it is not easy to do multiple quotation boxes, but it really is necessary to do so to keep your words from being mixed in with those of the member you are answering.

IMO, Blair (Bush's lapdog), has set a course to get his (Bush's) way, or self destruct.
He now has nothing to lose politically. He can no longer climb down and still survive, even with his "slime glands" fully active.
He and Bush have played straight into Saddams hands. The political capital gained by Saddam so far is immense.
Of course Saddam should be ousted, but not with false arguments, and not with war for war's sake.

Millions protest Iraq attack plan
528 cities throughout the world unite and plead for peace, many rallies called largest ever seen
By AP and CP
LONDON -- Over six million protesters -- many of them marching in the capitals of traditional allies of the U.S. -- demonstrated yesterday against plans to attack Iraq.
In a global outpouring of anti-war sentiment, Rome claimed the biggest turnout -- one million police estimated, while organizers claimed three times that figure.
Here in Calgary, the biggest public protest in memory saw more than 5,000 braving the cold to march through downtown, demanding an end to U.S. threats against Iraq.
In London, at least 750,000 people demonstrated in what police called the city's largest demonstration ever.
In Spain, millions of people turned out at anti-war rallies in about 55 cities and towns across the country, with more than 500,000 each attending rallies in Madrid and Barcelona.
Spanish organizers claimed nearly two million people gathered across the country in one of the biggest demonstrations since the 1975 death of dictator Gen. Francisco Franco.
More than 70,000 people marched in Amsterdam in the largest Netherlands demonstration since anti-nuclear rallies of the 1980s.
Berlin had up to 500,000 people on the streets and Paris was estimated to have had about 100,000.
In New York City, rally organizers estimated the crowd at up to 500,000 people. City police provided no estimate of the crowd, which stretched 20 blocks deep and two blocks wide.
Bitter temperatures didn't cool the tempers of more than 100,000 peace activists in Montreal, who flocked to the city's core to get their message across.
In Vancouver, organizers estimated as many as 20,000 marched through the downtown core, at one point packing both lanes of Robson St. for about 10 blocks.
In Toronto, about 10,000 people hit the pavement in a peaceful march that snarled afternoon traffic.

I find it interesting that it's the same so called American "patriots" who are so willing to defend the policies based on "feelings" of the President, rather than facts, they blindly justify any rhetoric put forth by this administration, yet were so willingly accepting of the "pecker impeachment" that any criticism of Bush, quickly puts them back on their knees to remind us how disgusted we should be of Clinton.
Just mention that Gore got the majority of popular votes in the last Presidential election and you'll hear an onslaught of criticism of "the left wing press" and how it was necessary to "stop going on and on and on, counting and recounting the votes" to "stop Gore from stealing the election" when in fact, when all the legally cast votes were counted, Gore got the majority of votes both in Florida and the nation as a whole. The newspaper accounts relating this story to Americans clearly were written so these "patriots" would have a closed-minded view of their own justifications.
Why would these "patriots" be so willing to buy into right-wing, political propaganda? Is political partisan winning more important than being right? Is it so important in their minds that political power grabing in the short term, is more important than future security?
If the majority of middle east scholars and diplomats tell us that a pre-emptive war against Iraq will have a destabilizing effect on the entire region and will likely create more anti-western feelings and more terrorism, why not act more diplomatically, and with a transparent sense of a willingness to work with all nations in the persuit world-wide security?
These "patriots" show only that they're willingly blind to the facts that the President's personal history, demonstrates his business endeavors have been failures, propped up and bailed out repeatedly, by politically-oriented financial interests. Repeatedly receiving money from these people, have been his only successes. Paying them back has been the financial, educational and environmental downfall of Texas, and it looks like that is, and will be the fate of the US.
He is a President who shows regularly that, in spite of the facts, and studied opinions of many situations, his gut feeling is to follow a contradictory agenda. An agenda that always coincides with wealthy, powerful, political interests, often veiled in secrecy and oportunistic obfuscation. His political appointments have always been obviously serving those same interests. Does anyone think Kissinger's investigative appointment would have been intellectually fruitfull?
There are many in the US who still believe Iraqi soldiers dumped babies from incubators in Kuwait, and that the UN inspectors were "kick out" of Iraq during the last inspections. I would also suspect these are the same "patriots" who would defend or blindly ignore the fact that the US military bombed medical and water treatment facilities in Iraq, causing hundreds of thousands of children to die. For what? Defending the sovereign rights of that great bastian of democracy, Kuwait?
It seems that many of these "patriots" are not those wealthy and politically powerful people, that stand to gain from short-term political power grabbing. Can anyone tell me why they are driven to keep their eyes closed to such facts, and jump to knee-jerk, rhetorical, name calling?
Or is it time to open your eyes, and act like real patriots, demonstrating love of your country and its values, and not this short-term political agenda, begging for more lawyers, guns and money?

For all the " peace lovers " !
Do you realy belive that Saddam is an angel ?
Is a simple propaganda fact to don't recognise any murder maked
by a dicatator or his army.
In Vietnam war, many americans named their soldiers " baby Killer". In this time we , people from the behind of Iron Courtain name this soldiers " freedom soldiers " becouse we know better what means evil and torture and humiliation .
All of you wich do not understand that are in fact the Saddam suporters .
Just imagine !
Irakian people from Bagdad ovationated American Army like an eliberator.
I will wait to see your peaceful faces in that moment .
I know I am right becouse I saw that in 1989 with my own eyes !
I know you are make a great mistake becouse most of you are comunist , anti-globalist protesters or people wich do not know the true face of evil. You are naive , poor friends !
You do not know how it is to fight for freedom and you don't know that the freedom have a blood tribute .
Anyway , the shame will be yours soon . Wait a few weeks !
Do you think that a 6 or 8 milion from all world can stop the war ? Again , you are naive !
Why do not hear the peoples voices from country like Cuba , North Korea , Vietnam , Irak or China ?
Becouse you do not care about this people. You do not want to know about mass grave or labour camps or death jails from this country .
How could do you suposed that this people can fight without arms and without any help ?
Why do not make just a single march to suport this people ?
Becouse you don't care !
Becouse you don't know the true !
Becouse you are a spoiled people with 20.000 -30.000 USD/year earnings and home,car ,tv,stereo ... etc.
You talk about your IQ > 100 . Well , we talk about later about that.
Do you think you have the right to call the president of USA stupid or idiot ? Yes , you have this right . But you do not deserve this right !

Of course. Even killed Iraqians will rise to say they’re happy. Especially if Christiana Amanpour will send reports about happiness all over Iraq. I estimate there will be no less than 10-20 billions of happy Iraqians.

Apology accepted, and I will return Your Gesture of good will back to You in kind.
As to My position on the war, It has altered very little.
I can say(As well as all of Those for whom I might speak) that I too, am opposed to war in general. But I think that there are times when people must inact war to prevent a worse thing from becomming a reality. Is this the only "Bad Thing" Or "Madman" that the world has right now?, No, There are many, many more.......... But I think We can all agree that it/He is one of them.
I don't want Our young people to have to face the Horror that is war, spill Their, or other's blood, but I also know that a rabid dog must be put down. If not from within, then Others must take up the fight.
Many talk of "Waiting & Inspecting"
Let Me put it like this..... There are about 100 inspectors trying to find things that have been hidden in a country the size of Our state of Califoria! Wait a week, a Month, or 10 years...You'll never find it! Heck I can't always find My car keys in My Own darn house!!
Fact: Iraq already stated the stuff was there.
Fact: They haven't shown What happend to it.
Fact: They now state it is not there.
We are speaking of many THOUSANDS OF TONS of nasty, nasty stuff..........POOF!........"It just vanished!" It's the best magic trick ever! David Coperfield is an amateur next to this guy.
Wellwhatdoyouknowaboutthat!
I also know that the USA is often seen as "A bunch of Cowboys" running around the world, flexing it's might and often when it's there, it's not always seen as the "White Knight", there to save the day. And Our President(Thanks to the Media) is made out to be a bumbling Goof. I am not going to change the view of many of the people reading this thread, Their minds are made up, I just ask those of You who still like to think for themselves, to keep an open mind about all of this. I understand that there are many viewpoints to an issue. Your's, Mine, Their's, And the truth.
I also don't know Why the whole "Blood for Oil" B.S. is such a war cry overseas.... We don't use Iraq's oil..... Our "Good Friends" the French and Germans do, along with other European countries. So this is a moot point.
And....
If We did, Why wouldn't We fight for something that effects Our national Interests???
All I can say is that the vast majority of Americans are not out to do anything but share the freedom the We love so well. Please don't judge Us but Our media's(Liberal) view of Our Country, Our People, or even Our President. The Vast majority of Us are hard working, family oriented, "Just let Me live My life and keep what I've earned!" kind of people. We are however, somewhat despising of Tyrants and dictators(Having shown our dislike in a little war(s) back in 1776,1812,1914,1941, and so on.). We are not without error(IE: Clinton), but generaly, We get it correct.
p.s. aren`t there are alot of former commie rooskies on your favorite hockey team?😉 tsk tsk tsk. what would george think?
I/We have no quarrel with the People of the former USSR or even Iraq. We did with Their goverment's policies & Actions. I have several friends and We are all from different backgrounds and nationalities, I like to think that this is America's greatest strength.
And the key word in Your last quote was/is >Former<! 😉
Have a Good One!
