I'm also interested on how it sounds. I got a TU-8600S from Victor almost 2 yrs ago and enjoying it. Just wondering how this sound compares to elekit.

How it sounds? there is a formula to calculate the sound (this is my method) Hashimoto OPT, Choke, Tube Rectifer and coupling cap... These are the major components. Also personal taste is the final factor.

I recommend to use SHRINK TUBING - 200 GAUGE, 1 1/2" to insulate the copper surface of Audio Note caps

It means that you have two options to enjoy SV1616D
I have three types of 12AU7 but I do not know anythink about mitsubishi 12au7. BRIMAR only made tube .. they are good and inexpensive..
