Sorry Disque, i have not seen your post sooner.
There is no crossover on full range, and tweeter has only one capacitor, i belive its 4.7uF.
Surface paint is gorilla glue mod i created by try and error.

That sounds like a swipe. Life can get busy.
I did work out a miniOnken for these (the neo version). If you have changed the driver parameters i'd have to start over again with good T/S numbers.

Hi Dave,
I grabbed a pair of the W5-1611s off the Swap Meet forum for around 1/2 price of new. Are there Onken plans available for this driver?
Thanks,
Mike
Looks like it could be made to fit into either the 13 or 17 litre miniOnkens so most of the work is done already if any of those suit.

No need to do up a new one. Do you happen to know which ones are 13 or 17 liters? If not, I can do the math.
Thanks,
Mike
There are A10p/12p/FF165wk boxes of this size. I think i all the free for use CGRs are 13 litres, as are the centres.
Tuning would need tweaking.

I just received a pair of W5-1611SA drivers from another SIYAudio member. I read a lot about a beaming issue in the higher frequencies. I have a pair of Beston RT002 tweeters. Would they be a good match crossed near where the beaming is most noticeable? Would a high pass filter on the Bestons be sufficient for this arrangement?
Thanks,
Mike

I did not find the top all that limite din dispersaion, but the top is very coloured, used as a midbass it should do well.
