Paypal account made ;
but - Murphy rulez - due to some unfortunate circumstances there is a mixup with plastic - I need Visa ( to be able to lift limits) , and I was given with funny Maestro card
I need to change it for Visa in next several days , then thingie will be functional
problem is that Serbia isn't covered with Paypal service , so I'm doing all this with Hungary based bank account ; to solve card issue I need to go to Hungary once more

Hi Zen,
Have you shipped the Pumpkins and Shuntkeys yet as I have received nothing.
Andy
if you're Stonefree , then you can expect e-mail in next few hours
( short answer is - yes )

^^^ Excellent, hope that means mine too. Might have some space on the bench from next week (and possibly my loaned test gear returned) to get this built and installed into my controller.
Russell - your's are sent 12 days ago ; I also sent confirmation e-mail , with receipt scan and tracking data ;
just buzz and I'll send that e-mail again

I do not know whether anyone has tried this?

I will try this, if I not had kick the bucket accidentally until then.
I've managed to clone the borbely. Not a difficult job with a bit of patience.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Sorry about image quality but my camera was dropped the other day so I've had to resort to the phone-cam.

I've managed to clone the borbely amplifier. It's amazing what you can do with a bit of ingenuity and a computer.
If anyone wants any details, please e-mail me. I can't post details on this site for copyright reasons.
I've also got a Shuntky/Pumpkin pair on the go to compare them.
Many Thanks ZEN-Mod the PCBs and matched semiconductors arrived.
I managed to build the borbely pair for less than £50.00, but beware, the 190VAC mains transformer is not a standard device. Initially I hand built one from a 100VA kit but it was too big to fit in the box and I couldn't get nice end cheeks to compliment it. In the end I spent another £50 and bought 5 x 0-22 + 0-22 1.6VA toroids from RS. Using 9 of the 10 secondaries in series gives me the appropriate HT. The last 22V secondary gives me the -12V aux supply leaving me with yet another 30VA toroid to produce 15V for the 12.6V regulated heater supply. 6 transformers in all but all tiny and fit inside the chassis beautifully.
The ECC81 and ECC83 valves aren't cheap but they are readilly available.
