It's just a bass reflex with slightly angled baffles and the only advantage to that is a slight space savings. EAW makes a similar box with more radical baffle angles that lots of people think make it a horn but that's not the case, it was simply designed to pack more drivers into the limited space available at live events.

Just to be pedantic, I'm going to argue that it costs you space, as the volume of the cavity in front of the drivers has to be subtracted from the useable space in the box for the rear chamber (or the overall box made bigger to account for it).
such a deep manifold/angled baffle design might have some sensitivity boost at certain frequency as cavity has its own volume, thus its own resonance freq. However its somewhere in lowish mid-range area so that resonance peak must be equed down anyway.
