Not really sure if this belongs to pass labs, but I am on my way to Zen4 nirvana5 😉 and so it might as well...
What is the '+' sign on the cap doing along side the polarity bar that indicates the negative lead (+85C ??). Just want to confirm that this is indeed negative lead despite the '+' sign on it 😕

Yeah. I think the force of the -'s pulled the +'s away from the 85C. Guess they weren't attached too firmly. 🙂

jag (I in swedish!), 99.99% of all radial (standing) electrolythic caps has a wide stripe usually white with minus signs. This is true for caps in aluminium cans not those in plastic like the orange or purpur (wine red) ones from Siemens.
Thanks for the language lesson. Actually it is shortened from my long original (Asian) Indian name 😎jag (I in swedish!)
Heh, heh. One of my audiophile friends told me that the cap sounds a lot better when the +'s and -'s huddle together like that 😀 Infact there is a cap-cooker available, very similar to this cable-cooker that will do it for you 😱I think the force of the -'s pulled the +'s away from the 85C.
