And take a look at RT60 times from the room

Yes but in doing this it'll end up being a room full of rockwool to achieve rt60 commonly encountered in control room (around 300/350ms). This can be great in some big place not so in small room. It's why a first talked about to create an RFZ because from my experience once this is done 'deadning' the rt60 can achieve good results without having to go for so low reverb times.

Analyse the room and speakers first. Determine the right spot to place the speakers and choose the ideal listening spot. Work from there...

+1. Absolutely right!

Dimebucker could you draw a sketch of your room, with dimensions (height, width and length including windows and doors and if your ceiling is 'cathedral' -angled-) and position of your speaker, listening spot and possible reflective area (desk, racks,synth,...)? It will give us a nice point to start helping you. And by the way, have you checked your pm box?

Sorry to remove my post, I was reading 2 threads with similar treatment solutions offered and retracted my posts due to seeing I put this on the wrong thread.

But glass wool can effectively treat some acoustic problems in some areas. But to treat any kind of problem, why not first look at what it is you need to treat. Stuffing a room full of treatment isn't the way. Analyse the room and speakers first. Determine the right spot to place the speakers and choose the ideal listening spot. Work from there...
definitely, speaker placement and Listening position must be determined before being even able to know the first reflections.
however, any room need bass traps and lots of them ideally. you can not overdo bass trapping.
