Steve Jobs

so did I, see that is exactly why He was the success he was, apart from shrewd decision making and partnerships, he embodied the technology with personality (the smiley face start-up icon is the perfect example) and allowed you to pour yourself into it and..heres the thing..he made it give back!!.

many of my friends have pet names for their macs, as do I, people hang onto their old macs, finding excuses to keep them around and especially in the early days mac users were very much a group of like-minded and creative people (whether they be involved in design, music or film production, writers, educators, scientists etc) macworld was a social event for those in the industry, much more than a trade fair. I therefor have many friends that i would not have met were it not for this shared experience.

He touched everybodies life even if they only ever used Windows or Linux.

Wozniak and Jobs invented the personal computer and Gates wrote MS-DOS on an Apple machine (Microsofts Xbox 360 developer pack consisted of a Mac G5 running Windows, they did however place a MS sticker over the Apple logo).

People like steve jobs are rare gem who take birth rarely.

It is very hard to establish a mark on mankind, only people like Steve Jobs have the guts to do that.
I consider him a real hero, a real technocrat, he will always be remembered through his technology which he left for us.

May his soul rest in peace & request him to bless us with the same ability which pocessed.

I think he 'returned' with ownership of some companies that Apple wanted to buy

btw, yeah, Steve really must have like music
the old AppleTV sounds quite good
I suspect electronics develloped by the CEntrance guys
who now sell a perfectly matching preamp

If you use your ipod for mp3s that is your choice. My choice is to fill it with 16bit/44.1kHz files (AIFF or .wav).
Admittedly the ear phones are the ipods Achilles heel which is easy to fix but the convertors inside them tend to be the best of their type available.

And if Windows would be the only choice of OS I would have never bought a computer.

Dennis M. Ritchie,
co-creator of UNIX and father of the C programming language, died this past weekend.

Condolences to the families of both, but sad that the press value a salesman more than the creative genius Ritchie who made the modern computer OS, including Apples latest operating systems as well ,as the standard computer language C gets almost no coverage.

thats unfortunate, but designing the unix kernel and the basis of the internet does not make him the designer of macos. it makes him brilliant, but he did not end up controlling a company that also effected peoples lifestyles in a direct and very tangible way that people who do not know or care about computers can also relate to.
