My sources are NOT at infinity - neither at the recording session nor when listening to the speakers.Try placing the source at the infinity, the (horisontal 🙄) direction remains the same, but there is no information of the source size because it will be singularity no matter how big was your original source size.

That does not add to the capabilities of stereo 🙂
Stereo can only sample correct (horisontal) direction of a flat plane wave. If source is at the finite distance from the stereo mic and thus have a curvature wavefront, it will only produce a spatial error (ITD).

It is difficult to discuss with you if you are overly nitpicking in the first half of your sentence and really sloppy in the second half. 🙄
You may want to see a (small) error in the direction of the phantom image - admittedly. But we are not in surveying here ...
But even a curvature wavefront will not "ONLY produce a spatial error", but will produce directional and size cues with some SMALL spatial error. I can live with that - easily. 🙂

What kind of advertisement is this... Speakers for facilities ??
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Now dont put down a fine concept
The side firing from a single location is the createst audio innovation since Blumlein, and Ambisonics 🙂
What they should do, however, is to put all the marketing department people into the facilities, lock the door from outside and throw away the key

Hi,
In the other thread you mentioned 5x SSS. More info please? 😀
😀 You mean SSSx5, which is a lettering contest for SSS with x = 0.5. There is still only one box, not 5 of them 😀
The info is here

The Gradient Axis drivers could be nice for the sides. Inexpensive and good treble rise.

Which one? Why rising treble? The Axis 5 looks pretty horrible beyond 4kHz.
Listening 90° off axis means you need good treble rise to get enough treble at listening position.

That way you'll get too much treble from reflections. Sounds bad, very bad.
Eh, in the Stereolith the treble is coming from the single tilted tweeter !

Exactly that's why rising treble for the side drivers isn't necessary nor wanted.
