How to chose proper mosfet for the SSR?
What is important is Vds, Drain current and Rdson.
But what about body diode current characteristic?
SSR is working with AC voltage because of mosfet intrinsic body diode, but it's not easy to find much about it in a mosfets datasheets.
Attached the plot of the mosfet I used (TK72E12N1), not sure if it's good enough?

No comments here about MOSFET body diode?
Are there no interested in MOSFET SSR loudspeaker protection??

You have a good question Dadod, however I don’t have the knowledgde to give a decent answer. I’m using the irfp4568 in my SSR, diode characteristics are comparable to yours.
I prefer to247/to264 above to220:
1. Legs have a higher cross surface
2. Leg distance is bigger, which means wider pcb tracks.

Hi Bensen,
I have layout ready for to247/to264 too.
I am not sure the MOSFET you choose is best choice regarding body diode.
Look the Fig 7. Typical Source-Drain Diode Forward Voltage
Sorry I noticed now that this plot is for Vgs zero, so again no information.
This part of mosfet is new for me and hard to find information. Does Rdson is valid for body diode too??

Hi, thank you very much for the file....
In the past i had made a little board without DC detection, using a NE555 and SI8752i and IRF540. The circuit works fine. Ok, there are better Mosfet, but at first i wanted to know if my board is working.
My problem was to find an easy DC detector to combine. Now i have found a schematic at nuts and volts, very simple.

I made a schematic combining the DC detector and SSR. You will find DIP 8, because i made adapters for the SI8752.
The LDA210 is obsolet i found LTV825 instead. In the schematic you will find LDA210.
I have to test it, made it yesterday, but i am not an expert in electronic....🙂

Mhmmh...
Your gerber file is not working. I had uploaded to PCWAY. Copper and TOP/Front are missing. Sorry...

Hi Peter
for faster switching and less RDson.
use this

was a found at active rectifier -SLB

yes...sorry...the link jumped to the wrong one.
SLB- Smooth Like Butter = active rectifier with capacitance multiplier
SLB- Smooth Like Butter = active rectifier with capacitance multiplier
It should work, try to unzip and see that all parts are there.Mhmmh...

Hi Damir,
i had a look. Everything seems ok. PCBWay have difficulties to show the pcb, dont know the reason why...
If i upload the zip file to JLCPCB, everything is shown.
Thanks a lot...

There's no corner mounting holes when I upload gerbers on post 1

It should be there, check with JLC, there something in top left corner.
