i will also say that the sim from zeroing those to it using those is almost identical. the one at 0 dos have a tiny bit flater response curve but its likely an unaudible difference in my opinion especially by the time dsp is asdded in snd so on. with that being said we are all going for 100 percent the same so i guess being only a little isnt really such a thing 🤔

brian i wish you and david tought a class for learning ins and outs of hornresp, how use/ make the boxplans, etc. yall could reallymake alot of money doing that. i know i would be signed up in a heartbeat.
(L12 + L23) needs to equal at least 21.5in based on your Frame Width input.the woofer wont fit where?
It's weird that it shows it doesn't fit there but in the boxplan it shows the cut out size for that board being more than big enough.
Cut out size is different from frame width.
Frame Width = Overall Outside Diameter = L12 + L23.
Cut out size = Mounting Width = Baffle Cutout Diameter.
Surface Area of Cone (Sd) = 1525cm²
((19.5in x 2.54cm)^2) x 0.7854 = 1926.76cm2. Thick surround!

there are opinions that the Le of that DA 21" Kraken is too high at 8.5 , but i was playing with the Le parameter in the loudspeaker wizard
and the response change just a Tad above 200... just a pinch.
almost none.
so i guess it will excel in high compression tapped horns with a strong motor BL=38 and hefty XMAX of 21mm

are you saying it came up wrong because i had 21.5 inches instead of 21.4 listed? its always riddles on here. i dont know all the ins and outs of it all sop i have no idea what that meant that you said
The spreadsheet came out wrong because you modeled a 20.94in wide speaker mounting baffle with a 21.45in wide speaker!
The speaker will not fit top mounted or bottom mounted in your current model.
S1 and S2 would need a CSA of at least 21.45in wide x 10.30in high (1,425.38cm2) to be bottom mounted.
Your S1 and S2 = 500cm2 each.

im just trying to figure out how the mounting baffle is only 20.94 when in the box plan i have it as 30 inches wide - 1.5 inches , 3/4 on each side so there should be 28.5 inches left
well im just glad you noticed is something must be wrong with the boxplan it doesnt calculate the correct lengths of the what it shows the sizes to be.
No, it's your HR inputs.
The speaker is 21.45in wide.
Your BOXPLAN frame width states 21.50in.
Your HR L12 input = 32.80cm = 12.91in.
Your HR L23 input = 20.40cm = 8.03in.
12.91in + 8.03in = 20.94in.
Your HR L12 + L23 inputs need to match the BOXPLAN frame width of 21.50in for the enclosure to form in the spreadsheet.

ya i understand that. does hornresp not already know to do that when i import the workbook? i didnt manually type in the numbers.
Below is a 3 segment TH.
You modeled a 4 segment TH.
Your L12 = from the left of the cone to the middle of the cone.
Your L23 = from the middle of the cone to the right of the cone.
If 21.50in = 54.61cm,
and your L12 = 32.80cm,
then your L23 = 54.61cm - 32.80cm = 21.81cm for the enclosure to form in BOXPLAN.

You manually typed the L12 and L23 numbers into HR.
That picture helps explain alot on understanding whats going on thanks! However I didn't type those numbers in manually, I just import the workbook and go by the numbers it's providing. Now I'm not sure what the next move is to make idk if the numbers are correct accurate etc. I did notice that when I change the driver offset in the workbook that number changes. When I put the driver offset to 0 though it shows the driver hanging half way out of the enclosure. I also don't really have a way of measuring that distance as I am using the box plan and can only go by the number is has maybe Brian can chime in on this one with some next steps advice. That picture made stuff alot more clear, I'm just confused on where the problem is to fix.
How did you NOT type in the L12 and L23 numbers into HORNRESP?However I didn't type those numbers in manually, I just import the workbook and go by the numbers it's providing.
