Hi,
i have a S-6002 2 Channel A/B amplifier.
The Transistordrivers get really fast very hot, the current starts at 2,4A and go in 10 Seconds higher than 4.5A. Then i remove the remote signal, before it gots more damage.
Any Idea? Measured +- 22V DC in OP-Amp Voltage.
Thanks

Then the pre drivers start heating up more and more. They start really fast to smell. Current also rises. I've desoldered every part in Pre-amp and testet separate. Found nothing bad.
Im not sure if the 22 Volts are correct.

±22v is high but the fact that they're equal, it could be normal. You need to look at the regulators to see what they're supposed to put out.
Is it the outputs or the PS FETs that are heating up?

The drivers are supposed to be clamped to the heatsink. Are they getting hot when clamped tightly to the heatsink?
When i clamp the red ringed drivers down to heatsink, the blue ringed starts to get hot until they start smell.
I think there is any problem i don´t find.
With mounted outputs, it starts direct with around 8A and rises fast. Under 1 second the drivers hot. outputtransistors still cold.

Do both channels do the same thing?
Did you repair both channels?
Did you examine the regulators to see if they were working as they should (proper output for the design)?

What's in your opinion the best way start to search?
Remove all outputtransistors?
I think it is only on site. I changed all outputs (both sides)
Regulators are tip41c and tip42c.
Think they where regulated from zener diodes.
Will post pictures tomorrow.
Thanks a lot
