Many planes didn't seem available in 1/32
My Dad flipped his lid in excitement when few German planes became
available. I wanna say late 80's and early 90's
He built new shelfs in his "Bunker" to display them.
Revell rings a bell.

3' lummy. 1/24th scale???
There's a Revell boxing of a Heinkel He 111 P-1 which is 1/32 scale with a wingspan of 70.9 cm (2 ft 4 inches).
Haynes do a manual for the Mosquito. Also if you want photographs I can recommend Chaz Boyer's Mosquito At War, there's lots there for the modeller, especially for those doing conversions of a kit or wanting realistic weathering. Currently on Amazon UK used at £2.81
Those Haynes manuals are great: I have one for the C-47 and it's a great read as well as a boon for the modeller
I have 'Lancaster at War' Vols 1-3, also excellent, particularly as the narratives are based on real crews' experiences.and writings All photos are B&W of course.
I'd go for a 1/32 DC-3/C-47!

Current project: Revell 1/72 Lancaster, in the markings of "Nick The Nazi Neutraliser", 463 Squadron RAAF. Many successful missions, but sadly lost in a training accident with all crew after colliding with a Hurricane.

Some fiddly bits during construction and fit problems but nothing too bad.
