I used to do transmission lines and antennas for a living. All good stuff. And important to match electrical impedances exactly to avoid unwanted reflections and group delay.

Trying to relate one physical constant to another is a topic that fascinates Physicists. Always seeking the pattern.

All looks quite promising with the Vacuum Permittivity:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vacuum_permittivity

The impedance of free space is 337 Ohms, IIRC.

Half wave Dipole antennas depend on this, but you get an imprecise 73 ohms, or 292 ohms for a folded dipole. It's also slightly inductive.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dipole_antenna

Epsilon nought is e^2 / 2 x alpha x h x c where Epsilon nought is the electrical permittivity of free space, e is the charge on the electron, alpha is the fine structure constant, h is Planck's constant and C the speed of light.

Trouble is that nobody knows why dimensionless alpha, is about 1 / 137! No discernable pattern at all really! 😕

Whenever you see Epsilon nought, you tend to find a 4 Pi factor, because it is a 3D thing. If you replace h with h bar, your 4 Pi is there. In 4D General Relativity you get an 8 Pi. And 2 pi tends to crop up in 2D circular problems. This is called dimensional analysis.

At the extreme it is used in Planck units, which attempt to express one constant in terms of others:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planck_units

Another bizarre relationship which seems to work is the Koide formula in mass ratios of the 3 generations of Leptons, the electron, the muon and the Tau. Involves factors of 2/3 and the square root of mass..

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koide_formula

Not proven. But interesting.
I thought it was 377 Ohms. Learn something new every day, or not

Do you believe this actually happened?
A TON of early Bible catastrophic events , also mentioned in dozens of Cultures around the Mediterranean, including Egyptians, Greeks, Sumerians, etc. , and even as far as China 😱 car reasonably be matched (at least in date and sheer physical impact) to the HUGE Santorini/Thera volcano explosion, some 1600BC

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minoan_eruption

https://www.historymuseum.ca/cmc/exhibitions/civil/greece/gr1040e.html

"For us" it meant the destruction of the Minoan Culture, the antecessor of the Greek one which is the direct origin of our modern one, the Mother of all Tsunamis it created swept the Mediterranean end to end, water-wave definitely "inundated everything" (as far as the Ancient World goes), "reached the Mountains", etc.

An impressive event, which was still remembered 1600 years later 😱 , of course distorted and embellished by oral transmission , although some inscriptions remain in Egyptian stelae and of course countless Babylonian clay tablets.

"In 1646 BC a massive volcanic eruption, perhaps one of the largest ever witnessed by mankind, took place at Thera (present day Santorini), an island in the Aegean not far from Crete. The explosion, estimated to be about the equivalent of 40 atomic bombs or approximately 100 times more powerful than the eruption at Pompeii, blew out the interior of the island and forever altered its topography. Possibly as many as 20,000 people were killed as a result of the volcanic explosion."
"Red sky?" "Smoke covering the Heavens?" "Dead fish/toxic rivers and lakes?" "Dying cattle?" "Sick people?" .... be my guest, that and much more.
Volcanic ash dust (which is very fine and "floats forever" was detected in China!!!!

So it´s easy to guess that a nice dramatic story about surviving a massive flood appeared and was quite popular.

FWIW Troy was thought for over 2000 years to be nothing more than a creation of Homeric fantasy/poetry ... until Schliemann actually found it. 😱

Santorin : 10 plagues of egypt ( more or less same period, plagues being secondary effects of the explosion).

Noah Arks: probably when Black Sea emptyed itself into Marmara's sea creating Bosphore's detroit ( Istanbul) after warming period.

I can't wait to see some scientist discovering Mu ( Atlantis) making Platon a reporter rather than a story teller ! 🙂

If you travel around mediteranean sea there is still some proof visible of Santorin in the geological layer's. It wasn't very long ago at earth scale of time...

Tsunami: i hope we won't see Canarian's volcano fall into sea: Huge tsunami on whole America's Atlantic coast expected...

I was referring specifically to his belief in the farcical biblical story of Noah and his ark, and Mt. Everest under '15 cubits' of water, not reality...
Please don´t let the tree obscure the forest 🙂
You worry about storyteller´s embellishments added bit by bit along, let´s see, 1600/30=53 generations! 😱 ; I find it valuable trying to find the actual facts giving birth to the original story.

Ever tried reading something after being sequentially photocopied 53 times?
Or tried to listen at some Music after 53 generations of cassette tape copying?
Same thing, be glad to be able to decipher some of the original data.

No need to go back 3500 years, I can´t literally trust stuff said to have happened mere 200 years ago.
DID George Washington actually damage his father´s cherry tree with a small axe?
Isn´t that also "a farcical story"?
Or not, maybe it happened ... no big deal either way.

Curious about the "mount Everest" mention .... I reread the Bible and couldn´t find that name anywhere ... isn´t this also a Narrator´s add-on just to prove a point? 😉

The '15 cubits' does not refer specifically to Everest, but to "all the high mountains": Genesis 7:19-20.

Does that mean Noah would have needed oxygen on the Ark? 🤔
"15 cubits" is a literary device, not a Hard measure by any means, as accurate as : "I told you 1000 times not to ***** " 😉

And no, not oxygen needed, what for?

"All the high mountains" means "all of the high mountains in the known World" .... probably 300miles around at most 😉, and highest peaks would have hardly been much higher than 1000 or 2000 ft.

I am always surprised about the lack of context shown by critics of ancient writings.

Lacks of critics because of faith.
Once you start to question things you usually have the sheperd which bring you back into the herd. Because you start to be a menace for the political forces at play.

Faith can be very strong ( motivation) and this i find highly respectable, but the one trying to manipulate this faith for their own profit...

Easy peasy, besides it´s very interesting.
FWIW also read the Quran, Baghavad Gita, Don Quijote, War and Peace, Green Books by both Saddam Hussein and Khadaffi, Mao´s Red Book and tons more, guess that´s part of being an omnivorous reader.
Only one which was a torture reading (it´s SO boring and repetitive) was Das Kapital ... ugh!!!!
That is nothing. I read (and memorized) all pages of https://www.diyaudio.com
