Speaker Cable lifters or stands?

I'm talking about it being at a subtle level, like a slightly rubbing brake - it's there, it's different from normal, but it's not obvious - until you tune into what it actually is.

The point I'm trying to make is that a disturbing effect can occur in audio playback, which can be very hard to put a finger on; it constantly impacts on the performance - and sometimes only the full removal of it snaps one into a recognition of what has been going on ...

"Competent sound", for me, means complete aural invisibility of the speakers - bloody amazing thing to experience, I thought I was going mad for a second or two - "What the hell's going on!!" Then, you slowly realise what you're hearing is the absence of system artifacts, to the point where the acoustic of the recording totally dominates - this is like a light switch in operation: either you've got it, or you don't - there is very little halfway house ...

To maintain a sense of "holistic normality", if this thread or other threads were solely fed by the likes of you (sy) and other "academics" (sorry...) this diyforum would be as boring as a an episode of (insert any foxtell sitcom here)..

There are forums where objective engineering input is censored or there is a role reversal where the "pros" are considered trolls.

Why, I have many times had my delusions pointed out to me, you live and learn (or in some cases you live but refuse to learn).....
M.Gregg I thought I'd add the Basil Brush catch phrase, he's the only UK telly presenter from my childhood who is not being investigated.....

There's theory, and then there's practice - the latter alway wins!
Does it? Only when people don't know or don't understand the correct theory. 'Practical people' always diss that which they haven't grasped.

are you just "imagining" that the car feels different,
No, you are not, and the theory of friction combined with the theory of levers perfectly explains what is happening.
