Before you proceed any further read and understand the relevant datasheets.
Tekko said:I have the datasheets already.
Then you will find the answer to your question in there.

Not so much a chip more a circuit, 5/6 chips perhaps, unless you opt for a CPLD but thats a thread on its own. Still want to continue?
Tekko said:FORGET IT!!! Not with 5-6 more ics.
TDA1543 is the only way to go if u want to build a dac.
For you maybe. You might as well use a UDA3560 SPDIF/FILTER/DAC all in one. One less chip.
I have the 8412 already, i found one in my mailbox 2 days ago (monday).
Now to find someone with a tda1543 too mutch.

Why not just buy one? I've seen bags of crisps that are more expensive.
The 8412 is a used dude but the guy who sent it claimed it stoill works, and as all stuff i use is old **** i have laying around and that theres a chance that it wont work it feels alittle wrong buying a tda new. Tho i have no experimenters board left, those with copper rings around each hole, so i´d have to get that before project dac could commence.
