Spacing between paragraphs in post got erased all the time

When i post a tread or response to a tread, the autocorrect removes all spaces between paragraphs all the time.

So when i do it like here, a empty line, i need to correct the spacing after i typed all.

This is extremely annoying if you want to make a long post and keep it readable. Please disable that or make it at least an option to activate.

btw: extra info, i use a windows 10 computer (fully updated) with google chrome. I did not try it in other browsers as i don't use those for this kind of stuff (and don't have the account stored in it).

OK, that's odd because we were having the opposite problem before we moved to the new software. FireFox would add extra spaces between lines.
Can you give an example of something that looks wrong to you. Post it wrong. For Example I hit Enter after the word "lines" above, That gave me a new line with no extra line spacing. The sentence just before this one is automatically line wrapped.

Can you post a video or series of images demonstrating the issue?

I just tested it in MS Edge without any plugins, and the problem is exactly the same: https://www.dropbox.com/s/p5hrqh74r5jr53k/2022-08-26 12-02-40.mp4?dl=0
I did also test with my work computer, and the problem is also there, that is also Win 10, fully updated and with an MS Edge managed by the admin (that is also me, i'm an IT system engineer) trough a managed firewall and proxy. No plugins in that browser but an antivirus scanner.

Test test test. I'm using Edge on W11.

One line spacing
Next line, no space
and again, no space.

Space.

The moderators work as a team to enforce the forum rules. Most moderation actions are reviewed by the team.

Moderators are not usually allowed to edit offending posts; they must delete an entire post if part of it violates the rules.

Some threads become repetitive or conflict prone. The moderation team will, at its discretion, close these threads. Starting a new thread to discuss the same topic is prohibited. Posting material from or about a closed thread is also prohibited.

If you see a post that needs moderator attention or if you just need help, please use the “Report Post” link which you can find by clicking on the poster’s avatar icon. This is the correct and quickest way to get the attention of the moderation team.

You think it's my browser, but it isn't. I'm using this browser for many other fora with the same software (like ASR) without any issues. It's the forum software and how it's configured, not my browser.
I was just going by standard troubleshooting practice. The available evidence seems to suggest that:

a) you are having a problem (which you've captured on video)
b) Nobody else seems to be having this problem (I'm not experiencing it right now; others don't seem to be either)

This means that it's either:

a) Your browser (you've since given us evidence that it isn't, so that's not it)
b) Your computers or some tool you have installed (system-wide spellcheckers? input device? screenreader?) that is producing a weird interaction with the site software.

Since the evidence suggests that nobody else is having this problem, and the one constant with the problem is that it appears on computers you control and set up, that it would be some sort of interaction with something on your end.

There is quite a bit of JavaScript involved in making the "rich text" editor work. I noticed in your first message that all your English words were correct, but the spellchecker was highlighting them as red. Why? What is causing that? Do you have your input language set to non-English? Maybe the input box doesn't work correctly for non-English Windows 10 spell check?

Otherwise, how would you explain that it's not a problem that others have reported?

ever see the autocorrect ‘eat the typed paragraph and then start spitting it back out but if you don’t pay attention it’s now doubled? I think is the phone app? (not the forum?) but it gets so ridiculous I leave things out of frustration and just Address(try to but this is pointless) things I could see real quickly before the forum closes out the edit function timer(?) and doesn’t let you touch anything else. soon a little bit of anxiety turns into a snowball and at some point you don’t even bother because it’s already too late 😳

obviously this affects some people much more than others depending on how you’re trying to access the form or if it’s a computer or a phone or…

I tried different computers, that are totally different configured. So i don't see that it's my computer.

My main computer is set to english, but with dutch and french (the languages i speak the most, as they are native to Belgium) as optional spellchecker. That should not be a problem, i use other sites with the same software (mentioned above) and don't have that issue.

The other computer i used is a work computer, set to dutch (i work as consultant for the flemish (dutch speaking part of Belgium) gouverment) with no english spellchecker, but it does exact the same. I did not setup the computer, as i'm busy with other parts of the IT of that company, it's just an image install made by someone else. The only thing that is in common is that i use windows 10 and protected by big company tools, not the ones i use on my personal device. I also use an other broswer on that one (Edge vs Chrome)

So it's not logic that it's the computer. And i'm not sure that others don't have it. They may not report it as they think it can't be fixed. It could also be my profile, as that is also something in common on both pc's, but i can't see the backend of it so i can't tell.
