Okay I think I can manage with everything else but those output gate drivers are a big questionmark. Some Groundzeros had irs21844 so could I try the 8 pin version of it IR2184? Although I think the pinout is a bit different on these ones because the gates are controlled from different pins..I think, I'll try to measure and get back.
Try applying a very small amount of water to the top of the scuffed ICs. Can you read anything?
Post the pin connections that you can see. Include:
12v above negative rail
negative rail
pin connected to high-side source
output pin driving high-side gate

Okay the original output gate driver is irs2008 but don't seem to find anywhere..any idea of the equivalent for this?
Oh my fault, yes I'll measure those. Some info said that IR2008 could be replaced with IR2104 or EG2104
It looks like they're probably OK but I'd suggest that you lift pin 1 on each IC and measure #3 with the probe on the lifted terminal and a 3rd time measuring to the pad for pin 1.

I did start one but no answers I'm going to head down to my local shop today and hope they have one laying around just to get a view of the top of the board but I know it's a long shot.
