Do we need the 2SK2013/2sj213 or equivalent to be matched pairs?
The fairchild parts have been used by 6l6 and he reported good results.

I bought two pair of 2SK2013/2SJ313 from B+D Enterprises,

I hope they are original and I trust them to be so over the Ebay offerings. It would be nice if someone would test them to be sure. They are much more expensive than the FQP3N30/3P20 one can buy from Mouser. I used the Fairfield transistors in my BA3 build successfully so they should work fine. The BA3 article mentioned that the VGS of the Fairfield transistors is 4V vs the 2V of the Toshiba so some resistance will probably be needed to lower the V.
The picture posted by Jason is what my kit looks like other than the small changes of screws and grease.

BDent is a trusted supplier indeed, you shouldn't worry.

Not sure about the electrics, but isn't the pinout different? How's about Hitachi 2SK216/2SJ79 in this position?
/U.
I'm sure almost nothing, but you are certainly right about different pinouts.
Thank you for paying attention!
But I think this is not an insurmountable obstacle.

@Jason, dear friend, I was looking for in the page for attach my parts with the other of a college in Spain (jama) but I can't did it. Another interest is get only one kit pcb but with the rest of the oder parts for make the first version of VFET 2 but with four transistors for channel. That is possible, in this case I will get four pcb but I am going to take two more than my needs.
How can I advice to the system the common address for two members in the same country and how can I change the choice of get only two pcb?
I knew you are in a trouble, this community is exigent but anyway I am very satisfied with everybody here.
Best Regards for you and the rest of gentlemen.

I just tried to order 5 kits for 3 members from Germany but I can't select a shipping type:
There are no shipping methods available for your cart or destination.
Happens for both addresses I used... what am I doing wrong?
Regards
Sven
I tried to order 2 kits for myself and had the same thing happen.

I too am having the same issue, single kit, says "There are no shipping methods available for your cart or destination."

My take from Nelson is that NONE of the pairs in the amp really need to be matched, but because we can't stand it and always want our JFETs matched I was planning to match JFETs if I do the extra parts kit.
The VFETs are matched mostly because it also is a way for Nelson to check that they are good. Paired output devices of the same type should be somewhat matched because of current hogging concerns, but since there is just one of each type in the single pair per ch kits, no need for them to be matched, but they are. In fact they're matched between channels too, certainly not required, but because it was Easy once they were measured.

If the not having to be matched part is right, please consider making the PCB + aluminum extrusion + assorted parts available after the VFets run out. There are some VFets in the wild, I know, as I have 6 pairs, un-matched that I am aware of so far. I have a set of permender's CSX1 boards, but this amp looks to be easier to build, with what will be a high success rate.

This means the shipping calculation "app" is failing. As a result, no shipping rates can be generated, so it gives this error. I believe I have found the problem and am resolving it now.

Please email contact@diyaudiostore.com with all the parts you'd like to add to the order, and who they are for, and we sort this out for you.

When placing an order, on the VFET kit ordering page, put both diyAudio member names in the member name field next to the quantity button.
I think if you actually prefer just the brackets and PCB's that Jason can send you some now. Maybe send him a PM

Hiya there,
Not sure if it's a temporary issue, however I thought I'd flag it now. The store appears to be down just now. I will attempt the link to purchase at another time.
Thanks!

Yes, the I have taken the store into maintenance mode while I am working on fixing the problem reported earlier today. I will post here when it's resolved or there is a workaround.
May I order the JFET(for kit) with kit to save the shipping cost?
Certainly.
Without wanting to bore or confuse anyone, but if you're interested.. after many hours of debugging, I've determined the store "no shipping methods available" issue is caused by our shipping company blocking some IP addresses used by our cloud services. That is some, out of a very large pool of possible addresses, and our particular IP address changes every few minutes. All concerned parties have been notified, and there is a plan to work around it if this persists, but it is a substantial job. In the meantime, over the last 12 hours the blocking seems to have subsided, and rather than spend considerable effort trying to fix something that might just be a "once in a blue moon" issue, I think it's best I just put the store back online and we see how it goes.
So, the store is now back up. Hopefully, the problem doesn't come back. If it does, please email contact@diyaudiostore.com, and I'll have to go back to "Plan A".
