I'm not in charge of sales, but I think it will be inexpensive.
😎
Boards arrived.
😎
And here it is with the bracket.
😎
Nice to see Mr. Pass on the photos 😀

pcb and bracket looks fantastic too

thanks for all great work and update

$3.99 from Amazon.
😎
I need to stop overspending. I thought that 3 for $19.95 at Costco was a good deal.
We'll have advance sign-ups and purchase. They will be announced here. I have little doubt that if you sign up when they are announced, that you will get the parts.
So, I don't need to keep checking the store 4 to 5 times a day? 😀
I'll just check this thread 4 to 5 times a day. 😀😀😀
Hi, I have a pair of each purchased from CircuitDIY on ebay.
2sk82 kd-33
2sj28 kf-33
Is this sufficient to build an amp on the pass board to be sold in the store? Are the pcb and brackets going to be available without getting the full kit?
Thanks

2 pairs of each it's sufficient for Papa boards simplified Vfet Part2 amplifier
But i don't know if they need some kf-33 with kd-33 adjustements or compensations ??

And a brief description Yamaha B-1 on thevintageknob.org
I see it uses the 2SK77.
I'm clueless how to subscribe to this thread, so sorry to waste the bandwidth, I'm just hoping that if I post, it will notify me of other posts via email.

See post #52. NP says should be OK.
as the owner of more than 1pair KD33, that is a really good news. only need to buy extra J28 🙂
I'm assuming single pair version can use regular FW psu, not like original 2pair which require higher voltage, am i correct? and i'm expecting that diystore will offer pcb only, so i dont have to monitor this thread 3times/day
Has there been any thought about running the VFET rails at 24-25v. Nelson showed slightly less distortion for 25v rails,1amp, and single pair in his 40th anniversary article.
In Part 2 Nelson wrote:
"I used an ordinary First Watt type supply design, documented elsewhere, with 22 VAC transformer secondaries to provide +/-28 volts DC. 24 or 25 VAC will work fine, running a little hotter. The minimum recommended for this amplifier is +/-27 volts, but it will run OK with a little lower supply if you adjust the values of R13 through R16 for lower voltage. If the voltage is too low for good regulation, it will run fine but the bias will drop a bit."
I guess we need some clarification on the concequences of using the standard 18Vac supply.

I am going to use what he recommends. Less chance of problems that way. The only question I have right now is if the 4U store case adequate for this amp or a 5U necessary?

I haven't tested it, but I will let you know. Of course you can just adjust
the bias figure for a given temperature.
