taking pictures from article in account , Papa used ZTX series for Q13 and Q14
but , nothing is stopping you from using biggie ones there , either 2SA1837/2SC or BD139/40 (this side of pond)

Mr Pass, I like your new speakers. I am using an Altec 511b on top of my LaScalla bottoms for the midrange with the original Klipsch drivers. Lots of dispersion and soundstage. I am looking forward to your opinion on the Cathedrals.
I will wait for someone to make boards for this new V-fet 2.

Sony VFETs just became true unobtainium

OK, it's up.
As a long time Yamaha V-FET B-1/B-2 owner appreciator it's really great to see what you're doing with these wonderful bits! I remember when the K82/J28 lot that Circuitdiy bought was up for sale some 15 or so years ago. My good friend pointed them out to me and we gave it some serious thought; almost bought it but in the end we convinced ourselves that there would never be enough interest ...

Anyway, great stuff you're doing with these and thanks!

what you mean ?
one pair of SIT's per channel , or ..... ?
Yes, one pair..par channel
it is - already spoken about in article - page 8/14 :
Some of you won't have good matches or only
enough VFETs for 1 pair per channel, but you can build the amplifier and it will
work fine, with somewhat less power and higher distortion. I tested that with 1
amp bias current, and it did just under 20 watts into 8 ohms.

That is true. I don't think I have enough parts to have a go
at building this. However, it's still a great read.
Cheers,
Dennis
No more V-fets suck. I am fortunate to have bought 2 pair last month for the CSX1, now I have a decision to make, which one to build.
