Sony Kit

I am thinking about buying the TAN9000ES and TAE9000ES power/pre combo. Has anyone had any experience with it? any reco's? Does anyone know of any ways to alter/ modify to get a better output, currently it only puts out 115 x 5.

I don't think you can get more output from a Sony unit without replacing the entire amplifier and power supply section. The amp designs are pretty much maxed out, and the transformers are usually underrated... maybe you could upgrade that. Make sure your on 8-ohm mode if u have a switch as the output is halfed in 4-ohm mode.

thanks for that, doesnt look like ill get that kit though, ill build some reference floorstanders first.
