i don`t actualy know what that transistor does !

how did it burn ? try putting a normal fet there there are a few experts in SMPS that might now alot more then us here ... 🙄

ok .... so a few nights ago some one tried to steal my HU but didn`t manage to do so 😀 they unfortunate broke the vacuum tube display on the faceplate it is cracked on the back !

i had a broken CDX-m8800 but i can`t fiind it it had a good vacum tube on it !

is there any way of rapairing this vacum tube ? some glue maybe ? and a vacum cleaner 😕

No i am sorry but i think that your 8800 work fine without that display, with small on other side.I have same problem just my not broken.

Do any of you guys have a service manual for my Sony CDX-M8800 .
My Big front display has just stopped working 🙁

Where is this transistor that you replaced. Is it in the flip down display , or inside the main unit ?

If anybody could e-mail me the service manual, or upload it and post a link that would be great.

Hi.. I recently bought a 8800, but unfortunately the seller was not as nice as expected. He showed me the headunit installed in he's own car, and after verifying that it was fully functional, we unmounted it, and I went home.

Security Code my ***....

Would anyone do me the favor and give me a hand, in getting this nice toy, to work.?

Is very hard to unlock that sony, you must find some to try decode your headunit.Key is in eprom, but hard to find on mainboard.If you want i will to send you service manual
