Something to lighten the mood

Let's move along.
12 posts concerning a dumb photo about a soldering iron...
And the usual nitpicking, which starts to get boring....
Who the hell cares what brand of iron it is, what material her safety glasses are made from....

I can understand people wanting to put their 'two cents in'.... but jeez.
Hey, relax Friend 🙂
It´s just a Forum thread, not the End of the World.

I was lightly baffled recently by something I received in my PM box:

Здраво. Одговорио сам на твој коментар у теми: плутони Тони Гее. да ли сте видели ?

I thought it might be the Vietnamese language. Turns out it is Serbian!

Happily Google Translate sorted the matter. I gave it my usual considerate reply. I referred the poster to SEAS, Norway.

😀

About a decade ago, Google's AI would detect your browser. Since then, AI much improved - like how Soundblaster software detects the hardware. Censorship uses AI too, and a simple test using "text in pic" showed much "progress" (small blue pic). Even search engines are much more intelligent!

Anything but Vietnamese 🙂 which uses Latin Alphabet for centuries now, thanks to pioneering Jesuit Missionaries work.

Your example uses Cyrillic Alphabet, so at least it´s one of the Slavic Languages.

I'm familier with OCD when I see it, and signs of Bipolar, as well as ADHD issues.
You know, all the mental illnesses and personality disorders more or less display the same mix of symptoms in varying proportions. It's difficult at a glance to distinguish one condition from the other.

I know way more than I care to know about this since my brother was schizophrenic. He was paranoid, had delusions of grandeur (he literally thought he was Hitler), talked complete nonsense virtually nonstop without hardly taking a breath, had bouts of catatonia, severe and frightening tardive dyskinesia, extreme delusions of reference, and in general had his had way up his *** in every way imaginable. It was obvious he was mentally ill, but it might take a while to see which particular affliction he had.

Yes, but I don't claim to know "specifically" which affliction or disorder is the problem.
I just know that "something is wrong" with an individual mentally when they don't "act" like a normal person should.
So I lump all those disorders into one big pile and call them NUTBAGS.

I should like to know what "normal" is! 😉

Ya know Galu, that's a very good question!
It used to be an individual or society that was mainly pleasent, with people that co-habitated in a peaceful, respectable way.
Standards were kept, laws were observed and followed, (of course with exceptions).
Also, it was rare and/or not usually the case to have something disturb the general peace.
Mentally sick people were cared for, treated for their illnesses.
Sticking to reality though, of course there was some small-ish problems, but it wasn't widepread, it was usually contained, so that the mass society wasn't disturbed.

But TODAY?....
Due to a plethora of reasons, society's experiencing an overload of disruption, making people into nutbags, loonies, people brainwashed into believing things that just aren't there.
And things that never before were important to the average person.

I've noticed and experienced these changes over the decades, anybody older can surely agree with me about that, and if not, then they're either living under a rock, or have a mental illness-weak mind from the beginning.
