Something to lighten the mood

Cal, heard this?
Oh yes. Iterations of that are born in every country I'm sure. It's a fun way of getting back at your rivals.
One of our versions, and there are many:
Four nationalists were flying back after a moose hunting trip up north when the captain realized they were low on fuel. He announced over the PA that only one of the men would be allowed to land with the plane.
The Englishman got up and said for the good of my country... and jumped.
The German got up and said for the good of my country... and jumped.
The Canadian got up and said for the good of my country... and pushed the American.

Oh, well !
With an Australian in the party, he would have thrown out the Englishman right away.

All this rivalry is a bit stupid, IMO. People should be nice to each other.

Good joke on BBC Radio 2 last night. Sunday Night is music night. About the 1940's songs of Harry Warren. OK, there wasn't much else on the wireless. 😡

You know, "Lullaby of Broadway", "I only have eyes for You"... etc.

He allegedly hated his rival Irving Berlin, "There's no business like Show Business", "Blue Skies"... etc.

During the Wartime years, Harry was told that Berlin in Germany had been bombed.

"Damn" he said, "They bombed the wrong Berlin". Made me laugh! 😀
