Cannot really remember where you live but wanted to hint you that one of our Ukrainian friends got an opportunity to relocate to Calgary. Karina, the wife didn't want to go but her husband wanted. Guess it was a good choice to leave Sweden. And with the differences within the SI system, a pint is either 16 US ounces or 20 Imperial ounces. It's not just the number of ounces that's different, they can't even agree on what size an ounce should be.
Nope, still not lightening the mood.
Talking of Sweden, here's the new chocolate flavour - Surströmming (fermented herring):
gpauk, you've got that wrong. Lutefisk is a bit like fish jerky (or just a log for the fireplace) but when prepared it tastes like nothing. Surströmming on the other hand is what Swedish army is sending to Ukraine to use as chemical weapon in the Swedish Archer artillery system.
Magnus,
I live in the Metro Vancouver area on the west coast of Canada. We are 1000 km west of Calgary, on the other side of the Rocky Mountains. Calgary is one of Canada’s large cities and has a much different climate than here.

Ya lutefisk most can handle As long as they don’t see it before it’s cooked. That other one, I don’t even want to use its name or open a can for someone else.

Swedish officials had a million times over explained and expressed how they support Ukraine and the Ukrainians, but the refugees weren't allowed to study Swedish like other refugees, couldn't get a social security number (to get a phone plan, nor a bank account and thereby a job or even able to pay income tax ...) and their daily handout is like $7 (since 1995 ...).
I think the family is way better off in Canada.
PS. Of some reason I haven't been notified about new posts for a VERY long time but I have also been very busy. But here's a photo of one of my latest missions, reading the boot The Fox Hunt for my granddaughters Ella and Ruby in Chicago.

Yes tobydog,
I can assure you that was not staged.
When we did it, outside of course, we put an old rag towel over the can when opening it to prevent the spray. We did not attempt to wash that rag. It was donated to the food gods.

Thanks! The girls - the Hins Girls - are great. The elder is 8 and maybe granny and grandpa (I am calle Moffa - that's sort of grandpa in Swedish) aren't that cool any longer but her young sister loves us.Nice picture of you and the girls having some Grandpa time.
Speaking of grandkids; our newly minted little human being ( Griffin), and his guard dog big sister Frankie.

Rage Against the Machine didn't specify what machine they were unhappy with, but I'll bet it was a printer.
My Dad used to snack on smoked oysters with blue cheese and the smell was so bad I had to leave the house for hours.I witnessed this, it was bad, extremely bad:

This stuff looks even worse. I'm convinced there are some things on this planet that are simply not meant to be eaten.
